Default PC Engine Duo Pin 29 mod video tutorial

ok....here is my first tutorial video. This is the Pin 29 lift and ground. Something I didn't clearly disclose:

this is an additional requirement for region mods in PC Engine Duos to work. If you simply install a region it won't play US Hucards. Here is how to apply this tutorial depending on your Duo:

    * PC Engine Duo - follow the full tutorial (part 1 and 2)
    * PC Engine Duo-R / RX - only do part 2 (and DON'T lift pin 29, just ground it)
    * US Duo - You don't need to do anything with pin 29*

After you do this, you are ready to install the region switch!

Let me know what you think!

Good quick videos!...Have you ever tried a little bit of flux to undo pins?..That works great, and much for faster for me...

A tiny bit of flux to the pin/leg, apply heat , and carefully pry up....

Just watched part 2, a little scary to see how that floating pin was moving around while you were trying to solder the other wire end ....But that's just me, I rather be safe than sorry ....

Good point should have soldered the ground pad first. The pin is pretty strong but better safe than sorry.

Hey OS long time no talk! Thanks. I could do a region mod but it will be a longer video. Maybe i will do that one in high def.

You should do the region mod videos, if I recall, are a bit lacking in quality, and are a bit old now. I like the way you explain things too, you are easy to understand.

Thanks again. Do you have a link to those videos so I can see what was done already? Also i got a little website started again:

    https://sites.google.com/site/pcemodz/

Nothing special but some documentation on there for some Turbo mods.
