I would love to play the Penn & Teller game on Sega CD. I know it has been leaked, but I have never been able to burn it correctly. I have tried dozens of times, and all I get is a drink coaster. I saw Penn & Teller at Vegas, I even got an autographed show program from them. Penn is a giant, standing at least 6'7"....I felt really short standing next to him. I really need to play this game....one day someone nice will help me figure out how to do this...

The original version of Rampage for the Lynx. Don't get me wrong I loved the one we got I just always find myself wondering what the one they showed in the promo photos would have been like.

Good pick. While the next Shenmue game or Socks the Cat Rocks the Hill would be awesome, I'm going to go with the two Loom sequels that never materialized.

I've seen it before when SM64 2 was refereed too, but it's a fake. That level is in SM64. If there is a real pic, i'd LOVE to see it.

Yes, to this day do I wait for a game with the features they proposed.
Hmmm, probably. Not sure if it is the same picture I am thinking of, but it sure seems similar. Could have sworn Luigi had a different look, icons for both plumbers lives, rainbows under each rug, and the view was from behind, but no matter. I remember seeing a pic (actually 2 or 3 pics) in some gaming magazine eons ago, maybe this was it and a big April Fool's joke that I just never picked up on. Either way, I know there was talk about Luigi (and co-op) being included in the sequel (or was that just a big hoax too!?).

Maybe I remember a magazine article with the same pics, but believe me, internet searches looking for those pics throughout the years have come up empty handed, so I try to pretend that they never existed, or that they were mere artist renderings. I wonder if a professional research database search of video game magazines from 1997-1999 could uncover this article.

This has become Retro City Rampage, for WiiWare. It looks solid although I would've rather had an NES version myself. Take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6sMr-qKmD4

Otherwise, great (depressing) topic. I'll throw my hat in for Scud Race on Dreamcast for now.

    N64:
40 Winks - Finished and reviewed by nintendo power but never released due to poor sales of the ps1 version. I've heard rumors that it was released in Europe and Australia. Can anyone confirm this?
Taz Express - I actually own the European cart, but it won't play on NSTC consoles.

    Nes:
    Taz Mania

    Snes:
    Radio Flyer
    Sound Fantasy
    Socks the Cat

Can't confirm this for you, but just wanted to chime in that I remember that review. If I recall it was even the main review for that month's magazine, including the monthly poster. Recently sold my Nintendo Power collection, so I can't go back and check, but I still remember this game getting reviewed, but never realized it was canned for the N64.

I indeed have the issue of NP that reviewed 40 Winks as well as the issue of Taz Express. Each received an 8.0 and 6.9 respectively.

My number one is commavids 'mission omega' for the 2600, I remember reading ads for it back in the day and drooling (though I've never seen any pictures or other info,)

I too would love to see virtua hamster. and sonic xtreme. also, thrill kill and starcraft:ghost. b.c., foxbat (just to see what it is )

and there are an army of announced 2600, unreleased titles, like star trek 2, 9 to 5, and many others that I would love to see what they would have been like...

Castlevania Resurrection (DC) - This was at the top of my list of most anticipated Dreamcast games.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection (GBA) - Not a huge loss considering it was just a compilation but I was sad when it got canned.

That Sonic game based on the cartoon (Genesis) - It looks terrible but I wonder if it had been released if the SatAM continuity would have had more influence on the games.

I used to know the employees at EB Games pretty well, one of them sold off his Gameboy Mega Man collection when he heard of the GBA collection coming out. He had all of the games, most were complete too. I don't think he got that much for them as he just traded them into another game store, I'm sure he was upset when the GBA game got cancelled.

I forgot about that but I'm also disappointed that it never got finished. To me it looked pretty good. SatAM did get a game if you count Sonic Spinball, the bonus pinball levels feature characters from the show. I really should watch the show again as it's been years since I've seen it.
