Default Xbox 1 vga problem - Screen blacking out

PLEASE Do NOT post in this thread if you are only going to tell me to get a TV, or a 360, or offer some other bullshit alternate solution. I am ONLY interested in fixing the problem at hand. THANK YOU.

    Now. The actual problem:
I bought a 1.0 xbox. dodgy thomson drive, GPU fan over the GPU.
I managed to get the chip in; flashed with FrostyTheSnowMan's *fixed* Vga bios, installed EVOX.

Now, Everything seemed to be fine. However, I'll be playing a game and the screen will all of a sudden start randomly blacking out. Very annoying!!!!
At first I thought it was an overheating GPU, as the fan that was in the system was busted. I put a new fan over it today, though, and it did not help at all.

I am using the "FROZEN CABLE" that "frostythesnowman" contracted from divineo.
I'm not entirely sure what the problem is now...i'm going to screw with the video settings within the XBOX dashboard. I'm using an LG 23" FLATRON w2361V monitor that supprots DVI, VGA and HDMI @ up to 1080p.

If ANYONE has ANY ideas, i'll try anything. I'm into this project too deep now to give up. I

A little more info may help narrow it down further...does it only flash on certain games, or after a certain period of time, and have you tried to run it to an actual tv?

It does it on every game. Everything. Dashboard MS or not. I never ran it long enough on a regular tv, as i had to visit a friend to use his telly to flash it. I don't *HAVE* A TV.
It'll start out running fine. I played like an hour of max payne last night and it ran fine. but today after i had it on for an hour FTP'ing a game to it, i played more max payne..and WHAM it starts crapping out. Very Annoying.
UPDATE: I got one hour out of it before it started to piss me off all blacking out again. So i know that the modchip/cable have to be legit. I must say, graphically, everything looks nice and shiny on VGA on this monitor. Makes me wish it worked better. For the reference, I used RTCW for that hour. So i've tried more than one game; Max Payne from Disc, and RTCW from the 320GB 7200RPM WD HDD.

I'm tempted to just rip my modchip and HDD out and try another xbox, if i can scrape together $40 to visit the local indie store. =\ it beats giving up and being out the money i paid for a modchip, hdd, vga cable, arcade stick, controllers, etc....

For further information, I did put a new fan in, and I pulled the heatsink off and applied new Thermal Paste, as CAREY85 had suggested this. It was a very good, thoughful, sound idea. I wish it had worked.
BTW, I'm really not too keen on taking it to a regular telly to check it over on that, as I'd have to reflash the BIOS for that, as i'm using FrostyTheSnowMan's VGA bios. EEP!

I'm at a loss... I sold my modbox awhile back so I can't look into the settings and stuff for you. Here's a link that may help you out though. Modded Xbox Audio/Video Technical

Could be a sync problem, without a sync signal the monitor is rendered useless even thou it has all the other infomation (Red Green Blue Etc)
