Had a sick day yesterday and decided to try a game that was rated well both then and now but I never got around to trying.
Eight hours later I felt satisfied beating a great game by Enix: Actraiser.
Yeah, never played it before. Glad I did now, damn that was addictive! Great way to distract oneself from persistent sneezing

Holy crap. It's been a while.
Previously beaten prior to 2011 and beaten again in 2011:
1. Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Id forgotten how stupidly difficult the end of this game can get. Very precise platforming needed (which the game isn't suited too), the luck based Janken matches (which I no longer have committed to memory) and the final bit with the boxes and ghosts. Still, good fun!
Beaten for the first time in 2011:
1. Sonic Chronicles
2. Zelda: Spirit Tracks
I reject your reality and substitute it for one of my own!
God of Bore 3. Worst of the garbage overrated God of War series. The entire series is shitty stylish action and the third is the same with True HD. While it's a very good looking game, it's no where close to having as many areas that look as good as those of God of War 2. That's where it ends though, this game has great graphics but it's missing out on decent gameplay and a storyline that doesn't suck.
Pick up Dante's Inferno, X Men Origins Wolverine, Devil May Cry(series,) Castlevania Lament of Innocence, and from the demo, Lords of Shadow. Games that deserve more praise and sales than horse shit like the God of War games. I'll even say Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden are better but I didn't really enjoy those much.
Dead Nation 01/01
God of War 3 01/12
1. Wonder Boy in Monster World (Mega Drive)
2. Monster World IV (Mega Drive)
3. Adventure (Atari 2600)
4. Fishing Derby (Atari 2600)
1.) 1/1/11 Demon's Crest (SNES)
2.) 1/15/11 Mario and Luigi:Partners in Time (DS) I loved the first installment, but this one was just "okay" for me. It was too linear and it just felt like it was missing some of the charm of the first game.
1/15/10 Half Life 2 (PC) - I've beaten the Xbox 1 version of this many years ago, but damn, if this isn't one of the finest games ever created.

1. Ys: The Oath in Felghana (PSP - January 15)
Beat this one on the normal difficulty setting found all the items in the game but one, leveled up all weapons and was level 50 at the end of the game. Great game way better than YS 7, if you like this series or classic style action RPGs I highly recommend this game.
1/15/10 Half Life 2 (PC)
1/16/10 Skull & Crossbones (Arcade)
1/16/10 Sexy Parodius (Arcade)
1/16/10 Double Dragon II (Arcade)
1/16/10 Battletoads (Arcade)
A buddy of mine came over today and we totally cleaned up on the MAME scene!

Your television doesn't care how angry you are with it. Turn it off and find something better to do with your time.-Beserker
5. Dead Rising 2 (again)
Finally wrapped up all the cases with a co-op partner.
When I got my first 360, Dead Rising was one of the reasons I ended up trading it (to Kid Ice, for Radiant Silvergun and a DS flashcard and a whole bunch of other good shit). I hated it so much. But I didn't want to hate it. With my 2nd 360, I gave it another shot, and after learning how it works, it became one of my all-time favorite games. The sequel is even more addictive, with the endless number of approaches you can make to the tons of content.
Also if anyone out there needs a hand with this one, I'll gladly play more co-op. Or TIR. Or if you need cash, I have 11 Bargaining books, a magnificent game-breaking glitch that Capcom hasn't patched yet.
1. X-Men Arcade (Xbox 360, 4/1)
2. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 (Ipod Touch, 6/1)
3. Mirrors Edge (Ipod Touch, 7/1)
4. Family Guy: Time Warped (Ipod Touch, 9/1)
5. Bayonetta (Xbox 360, 13/1)
6. A Boy and His Blob (Wii, 18/1)
I enjoyed both Bayonetta and A Boy and His Blob. Both fairly simple games but each have some challenging (but never really frustrating) moments. I'm glad I picked A Boy and His Blob up when I saw it (it doesn't seem to be that common in the UK). They both get a thumbs up from me.
Already beaten:
#1: Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? [Flonne's Castle beaten] (PSP) [1\7]
New to list:
#2: LittleBigPlanet (PS3) [1/20]
Since LBP2 just came out a few days ago (I haven't bought a copy yet), I decided to take a break from 3D Dot Game Heroes to play more of the original...when I realized I wasn't very far from the final stage; so I went through the last 5 stages of the game in one sitting. Now, with that wrapped up, I think I might buy myself a copy of LBP2 tomorrow...
Also, today is the 2nd anniversary of my Backloggery. It's fitting that I beat another game on this day...
Lets see... these were Christmas break so some may have been the last week of 2010, but close enough.
-Mirror's Edge (great, short little game, reminded me a lot of Portal)
-Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City
-My friends and I came so close to beating Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels on my SNES cart of All-Stars; we finally gave up on 8-4. Hopefully we'll tackle that on spring break
-Completed all 96 levels on Super Mario World
Now I just got Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64 in the mail (can you believe I've never played this?), and have Majora's Mask and a Dreamcast coming as well, so I already know this is gonna be a fun year
Isn't it? I'd definitely consider it a masterpiece of that decade. You planning on playing the episodes?

Another godawful licensed game with really easy achievements (see: LOST, CSI games, etc.) I'm at 965/1000 right now, all I need are 5 curbstomps and idling for 5 minutes for the full 1K. Too bad curbstomps are all about luck. I went through the entire game without one.
