I didn't even know it was released until I saw the PSN update and ended up buying it right away, now I kind of wish I waited. Aside from the fact that the game has DRM, the controls feel way off a lot of the time and can cause more headaches than anything. Swinging feels more awkward than ever and ended up getting me killed when trying to do the simplest tasks. I'm going to give it a little more time before I make my final verdict, but so far I'm not too pleased.

So, anyone else pick this up yet?

The DRM thing is making me think twice about it. My connection is not the most reliable, so it would suck to just not be able to play. At any rate I'll probably wait for the price to go down.

As for the reasoning to install the DRM, preventing "rampant" game sharing, I game share with my brother. I don't feel guilty about it, though. I didn't have to mod my hardware or do anything shady to make it work. I just figured allowing you to put games on more than one PS3 was a feature.

Their excuse for DRM is complete BS, they did it with Final Fight which caused an uproar, didn't do it for Mega Man 10 (a big title mind you), but do it for Rearmed 2. I'm starting to think that they knew the game was sub-par and slapped a DRM on it so people had to buy it.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Looks like I'll be more careful on buying a Capcom game from now on, because god forbid I can't get play the game because my internet is down, or the PSN is having problems.

Assuming this gets the treatment BCR got for PC/Windows I'd definitely like to try it - jump addition and all.

Didn't the original suffer from major move/swing issues using the 360 controller?

I recall that being one of those "better buy on PS3" type cross-platform games.

Not to anywhere near the extent of the 2nd game and if you had spent much time with the NES game you picked up the first game pretty easy. I spent some more time with it using a SFIV controller and its better but still not great.

You pretty much have to learn how to swing from scratch, in the first where you would press the grapple button to release you it now zips you up to what you're grappling.

The game isn't as bad as the reviews say, in my opinion the reviews have given there typical 5 mins of play, review the game approach to this. Its not by any means as good as the first but still enjoyable enough to pick up, just be warned that if you go the PS3 route you have shitty DRM and the 360 has a shitty controller for it.

You need to be online to play.

Silly that the DRM is PS3 only, there are plenty of people pirating 360 software, probably more than PS3 at this point.
