Default Best SCART to VGA Solution?

Does anyone know of a good device for converting SCART to VGA? I've been looking around, but I haven't seen anything. Am I better off using a SCART to HDMI converter and then using a HDMI to VGA converter?

I plan on using this for my Saturn, SNES, and DC (for those games that don't like the VGA box but do like RGB).

The xrgb series is the best hands down. You'll need to get an adapter of some sort or rewire your rgb cables. The xrgb uses the same connector as scart but the pinout is different.

Yeah but $300-$400 is a bit out of my price range at the moment.

XRGB uses Japanese SCART while most other SCART devices use the European version. They look the same, but the pinout is different and not compatible without a little surgery.

You can always try this thing. I've never used it myself but some people seem to like it for the price.

Yeah my friend has one of those. I don't see SCART on it though.

Find an used XRGB2. They go for $150-$250.

    Then get this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Euro-Scart-Jap-S...item19c2fe6b60

This cable will let you use any Euro Scart cable on the XRGB so you don't have to pay a lot for JP SCART RGB cables.

Yes an XRGB would be the ideal solution but it's a bit out of my price range as I said.

I would recommend save more money to be honest. You won't find a better upscaler than the XRGB2 for your needs.

    And this is from experience.

Well I'm going to end up using this on a 21" monitor so I think XRGB would be a bit overkill.

I think I'm just going to get a SCART to HDMI converter. They seem to be fairly cheap and recommended. Maybe I'll splurge on a XRGB some day.
