Terranigma. Either that, or go through the impossible process of getting it to work on an american system.
Impossible? I'd rather say not convenient as there are several ways to get it to work but none are as easy as having or making a reproduction of it.
As per the topic... what kind of games are you interested in as generally speaking most reproductions are RPG only. However, the few that aren't are quite nice. My recommendations as far as good games are concerned outside RPGs would be Star Fox 2.
Whaddya mean invalid parameters?!
9,000 gigs of ram and it still can't answer a simple question!
I have Terranigma already I was talking about the non released games like Sweet Home, etc

Well there's always the large amount of fan retranslations out there. Would kill for a breath of fire 2 fan translation cart.
I'd love to get a repro of the European version of Ghostbusters 2 for NES.

1. Terranigma
2. Star Fox 2
Especially SF2 since it can't be PowerPak'ed.
Repros I have and they're all fun:
NES:
Earthbound 0
Sweet Home
Tower of Radia
SNES:
Secret of Mana 2
Dragon Quest V
Dragon Quest VI

Unless it used a special chip (Star Fox 2, for instance), you're better off putting the money into a Everdrive or similar device than buying a reproduction for a single game.
Clock Tower, though I'd sooner get a flash cart than a repro if I wanted to play this on actual SNES hardware.
I can't believe nobody mentioned Super Mario Bros. 2 (FDS Lost Levels version). If you prefer the NES versions over the SNES remakes then it's a must-have. The only thing that sucks about it is that it doesn't save your progress to the cart, so if you want worlds A-D, you have to beat the game 8 times without turning the NES off. It is so annoying after a while. I only did it once. In this case if you don't collect Famicom or like repros much, I would just play it on the Wii VC where it does save. I just like mine for the convenience and the fun of playing normal mode. The extra levels don't make or break the game for me.
I have a Star Fox 2 Repro (a Pootle repro) and I have to say it is awesome and very worth it
breath of fire 2's american release is one of THE worst translations for a domestically released RPG. From L's & R's switched, to yes and no being reversed, to entire parts of the story being completely untranslated, it's really really bad.
Recently someone did a complete re translation that was very comprehensive over at romhacks.
The thing is, the re-translation of Breath of Fire 2 was much more than a new translation. d4s added tons of new effects and graphics.
Of course, you can play virtually all of these hacks using a flash cart, except Star Fox 2. Paying for a repro is dumb.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them
a flash cart is just as legit as a repro cart.
but hey, its your money do as you like.
