Nice setup, I also liked browsing your site
Cool pics man!, and nice collection too...
Outta curiosity, what's the 94 in www94. ? Never seen anything but standard http:/www. before (within reason)

Thanks for the kind words guys. Funny, it seems like people
are more interested in console setup and collection photos
(which others like DP do far better) than hardware projects
and one of a kind stuff.
As for the www94, I'm not sure myself. If you just do www
it will redirect you there. Maybe it's like those extra digits on
a zip code that no one ever seems to need

Remember, "www" is just a de facto convention; it's basically just a particular server within a domain. For instance, if I owned slapdash.com, I might use one server for email and another for web pages, so I'd probably end up with mail.slapdash.com and www.slapdash.com. But, I can actually name them what I want. See groups.yahoo.com or search.ebay.com as just a couple of examples.Originally Posted by Sylentwulf
Now, why www94? Who knows... I've seen plenty of www2s out there, but 94 seems extreme -- would they really have that many different web servers? Maybe, but... Could be they just wanted to be different. Or maybe that's when they went online?
