Default Sifteo: A new game system coming soon.

    Hey all,

I just read about this new game system called Sifteo. Here is the article for all to read about this and see video's of it in action.

    http://www.gamepro.com/article/featu...gaming-system/

I have to say that I'm really pretty impressed with this, and I'm curious to see the programs that come out for this system.

Looks pretty fun. Watching that penguin game, I couldn't help but think that a port of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for this thing might be awesome.

Looks neat but the control of the cubes look quirky. On that breakout game, the control seemed to be lacking when the paddle was moving(tilting the cubes to move the paddle). I am sure some really cool puzzle-type games could be developed for those cubes. The price seems toooooo high, or else I would give it a chance.

Looks like a flop. An overpriced childrens electronic toy. A step above leapster, but I don't see much third party support coming its way.

That type of technology isn't even that new, the thing with the blocks looks like Boggle Flash.

Isn't the Leapster a commercial success though?

I think the penguin game looks cool and the bejeweled style game looks fun to play. The sound synthesizer looks amazing in my opinion. That for me is the system seller.

Yes, but I was referring to tech.

Seems pretty cool to me. Don't know if I'd buy one right off the bat, but it is a very creative idea.

The real question is, can it run Doom?

Seems like a pain in the neck to play.

    Also, love this comment:

    Damn you cynical bastards!

I still think this looks good as both an educational game system, and a family fun platform.

Looks like a fun thing to screw around with, but I wouldn't call it a game system. More like an electronic toy.
I only need 2 more NES games (US)!

If a new "gaming system" doesn't have the capabilities to run Doom its not a gaming system.

    This got my attention: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2OxanDFkeE

Freaking awesome. These are the MIT Siftables, I think... Look the same as the Sifteo in name as well as function. Low tech... You guys kill me!
