    Default 24KB ColecoVision's Donkey Kong...

While disassembling some CV DK, I found something very interesting: several carts were 24KB in size instead the usual 16KB (3 ROMs instead 2)!!! Now I don't know if CV fans were already aware about this strange fact, but it was a complete surprise to me. I played both versions and wasn't able to spot any difference. Now why would Coleco add 50% more memory to a game which doesn't show any noticeable difference between it and the previous version? Maybe they were trying to fix a few bugs and got out of space? But if so, why didn't they take the change to add missing features to the game, like the 4th screen? Anyone does know anything about it?

I'd guess that instead of adding more memory, they probably just tightened up the code to make it fit onto a smaller(cheaper) rom. Any distinction between the two which is older?

From label version and case rev I could say the 2 ROMs version is older...

I think there are differences in the code because I have tried doing that supposed cheat that allows you to warp from one level to the next and it would never work for me on the DK carts I had.
