Default Systems or accessories that reduce input lag?

I was browsing the menus of Free Mcboot for the PS2 when I noticed there was an option to adjust input that I assume would be to help with input lag on new TVs. This would be great if I ever purchased a new TV that may not work well with older systems.

So are there any accessories that can be used with other systems that can help with this too? Or programs for some of the younger systems (Dreamcast, Xbox, ect) as well?

I don't think so, but I solute you for calling the Dreamcast and Xbox "younger systems" rather than "retro systems". I almost had a heart attack when a guy on racketboy called Call of Duty 1 (PC, released in 2002) a retro game.

There's nothing you can do to compensate for input lag, but you can reduce it by choosing video modes and settings that make your tv scale as quickly as possible.
Certain types of games, like music games, can hide lag by setting the video a few frames ahead of the audio and gameplay, but that's not possible in most games.
