What is the exact video output on this bad boy? My LCD won't do anything under 480i if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: To clarify, I did read that it did up to 720p, I just want to make sure it's variable and 720p isn't limited to VGA.

Output = Input, no scaling at all, just transcoding.

Interesting. What do most consoles output? I'd most like this for a Genesis and Saturn, but SNES would also be an option.

Most old school consoles output 480i/240p. Most likely newer LCDs/flat panels won't work with these although there are a few that will.

If the Genesis did 480i native I would be in for one right away. Information seems a little lacking, though. I know I can't do 240p because Gradius III (PS2) seems to disable my TV in component, as it attempts 240p.

If you have 240p games that don't work with your TV this definitively won't work. What information are you lacking? I can give you all of the technical details of my converter.

All I need to know is what resolution various consoles run. I could use this on my home CRT, but I was hoping for a good solution for my LCD. The other alternative would be a good upscaler, if you know of one that will work with this.

PS1 has some games that runs @ 480i
Most PS2 games run at 480i

Before PS1 virtually all consoles run 240p.

wait hold on, before i commit to buy, lemme just triple check cuz i think i might be making a mistake here, this just transcodes the original signal? theres no line doubling or upscaling?

because i plan on using this pretty much just for ps1 and saturn games, and im pretty sure my lcd doesnt support 240p as i've tried playing ps1 games via component and all i get is a blank screen
