I always wondered if my smoke gray "Millennium 2000" Dreamcast pad CIB would ever go up in value. I've never seen anybody talk about them though. Aside from this one all of the clear colored ones were very common back in the day.

I sold a smoke black one on eBay not to long ago. It only went for $1.29 as I recall. Sometimes they go for for a few bucks, sometimes not. I would think some of the more rare ones might fetch some money though. Things like this

The yellow one would be a standard color variation. The orange controller however, if it is an official Sega one, only came in the limited edition Japanese Chu Chu Rocket set and is decently difficult to find.

From most common to least, for the official American controllers, it falls thus according to my experience (all colors except white and Sports black are translucent):

    White
    Black
    Blue
    Green
    Red
    Yellow

The Sports black one is harder to call because it was only released with the SEGA Sports Dreamcast set, so it is as common/rare as that. I'd place it somewhere in the top four.

Keep in mind that there are many official Japanese variants, but there are even more unofficial shells that people can swap onto their Dreamcasts or controllers.
