Default Want to use ps2 Taiko tatacon on Wii. anyone know a good adapter?

Googled around a bit today looking for something that would let me use my ps2 tatacons on my Wii.

Far as I can tell, the adapter has to plug into the remote to work. Gamecube port ones won't work at all.

I saw one that says right on it's box that it works with guitars and the taiko drums, but no where seems to have that one in stock. Other ones that are in stock mention guitars and dance pads and stuff but not the Taiko drums.

Has anyone here gotten any of these ps2->wii remote adapters and tried them for taiko? Good or bad results will both help narrow it down to one that works. I'm curious about wii adapters in general somewhat too, but right now I'm mostly just not wanting to have to buy new drums.

Don't know about adapters but did you see this? A lot cheaper than the official drum and apparently it works pretty well:

Saw that yeah, but I'd rather buy a 10 dollar adapter that works with lots of stuff than 30 for another drum that's gonna take up space, heh.

Bumping this thread up for some new info.

I recently bought this adapter: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/playsta...cm-cable-23206

I can confirm that it does not work properly with the tatacon. If you use this with one, the games will recognize it as a classic controller, and the left "red" portion of the drum will work, and the start/select*, but none of the other drum sections will. I wonder if this could somehow be made to work with some kind of button remapping cheat codes?

*on this adapter, pressing start+select together registers as a press of the wii's home button, as ps2 stuff obviously doesn't have that button, and that does indeed work.

Hi Cryomancer, I was looking for a taiko drum for wii and since they are very hard to find, very expensive or out of stock on most sites I was thinking of buying one for ps2 from amazon and connecting it to the wii just lke you. I found a website which sells such an adapter but it is a chinese site so I am doubtful if i should buy it or not because i have read a lot of negative feedback about chinese shopping sites. Did you find one which works?
