No, there's different software versions. 1.1, 1.3, etc.
Plus I think some had parallel port connectors.
Special shout-out to the Half Price Books in Beavercreek, OH. I walked in there today with a 40% off coupon, and walked out with an Xbox 360 for $76.xx after tax.

Gears of War expanded edition strategy guide

God of War: Chains of Olympus strategy guide
Blue Dragon(sealed) strategy guide

The strategy guides were from a yard sale that I'll cover in a second. The TNA dvd and Resident Evil book were both found at Goodwill.
The Last Remnant strategy guide
Soul Calibur IV limited edition(sealed) strategy guide
Soul Calibur IV strategy guide
Lego Indiana Jones strategy guide
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia strategy guide
Bullet Witch strategy guide
Disgaea 3 strategy guide
Mana Khemia strategy guide
Resistance(PS3)
F1 Championship Edition(PS3)
So I went to two yard sales yesterday. At the first one I happened to miss all of the good games but they had a sale where the strategy guides were 3 for $1. So I got as much as I needed and ended up paying $5 total. Was also surprised to see a DS Castlevania full size guide as opposed to all the smaller ones I see that are the size of the Disgaea 3 one. From the tags I could tell that(like me)they took full advantage of Gamestop and Best Buy when they pennied out their strategy guides. This was a married couple(both gamers) that decided to get rid of some stuff for a move I think. They had alot of other cool things like sealed TMNT toys but I only picked up the guides.
The second yard sale I went to had very little games. But for the first time I actually saw a decent PS3 game(usually all the yard sales I go to have either no PS3 games or lots of crappy ones). I asked how much the games were and she told me to make her an offer. So I picked up Resistance and offered $5. Then she told me she wanted $7 for it because her son loved playing it......um, ok. I didn't want to pay $7 for it but then I saw F1 Championship Edition. It definitely fits into the "lots of crappy games" description for yard sales but it was also factory sealed. So I figured I'd use the case to replace the less than stellar Resistance one. So I offered her $10 for both and she accepted. So I guess I could break them down into $5 each. All and all not the greatest day pick up wise but it was nice to be back in the hunt after missing so many weeks.

Well, might as well squeeze in all I found this month before the end of the month!
All were $1 each except the DQ9 guide, which was $11.
Metroid, Megaman 2 and Mario Party were $3 each. Lufia was retail at $20, and UN Squadron was $7. I probably overpaid on UN Squadron, but that was the first time I'd seen that game in the past seven years of game hunting, so I jumped on it.
Various controllers $9 for the bundle.
DVDs and the NES games were $2 each, Donkey Kong 64 was merely twenty-five cents. O.o
NES unit - $3
Phantom Hourglass cart only - $5
Fortified Zone complete - $12
Blue Club Nintendo Bag - Free
Game shirts were 3 for $10 at TRU (don't worry, the Peach shirt is for my sister), Lost in Shadow was on clearance for $15, and the Monster Hunter Classic Controller bundle was $30.
was far from home doing a car show all weekend and found a goodwill store in town so i decided to check it out in hopes of some finds.
The prices at this goodwill scared me
5 bucks for a well used cheap 3rd party N64 controller
30 dollars for a laser disc player! (i was actually debating on buying just because it was there.... made a promise to myself if i found a laser disc to go with it i would buy it cause i haven't seen one in person since the mid 90s when my uncle had one.. but no luck)
NES Zapper in mint condition with no price but after seeing what they were asking for the n64 controller didn't even wanna try for it.
then i found 5 Atari carts and a genesis cart and 2 SNES carts (the genesis and 2 snes carts were generic sports titles). i found a Atari cart i didn't think i have and saw it wasn't in the greatest of shape but still not bad so i thought maybe i can work my magic on this after seeing this stuff wasn't priced either.
ENDURO
The manager came up to price check i told them it was a old cartridge that went to a very old game system and pointed out it wasn't in the best of shape
got it for 99 cents.
They were used overseas to mod PS2s to some extent.

Wait, you can mod PS2's with a Gamecube LAN adapter? I thought the appeal of them was running Linux and dumping ISOs.

It's really easy, too. You basically install an exploit from a memory card, and then install it to your broadband adapter / hard drive combo. You can run homebrew and PS2 isos that way. Not all of 'em work and some need a bit of patching, but it's a pretty cool way to use a fat PS2 if the laser's dead.
