Yeah, they go behind the marquee at the red and blue to give the police lights a more authentic look. When you catch up to a suspect the lights flash (two flashes on each, alternating) and the loud siren sound effect from the game plays. I was going to get a little sheet of textured suspended light panel and put it there when I build the lightbox. I love that game. Giddy up, boy!

First time this year actually getting anything from Craigslist. Saw an ad for an N64 with "plenty of games" (or something like that) for 25 so I sent an e-mail saying I'll take it and asked about a list. The guy ended up e-mailing me a list of 14 games and after some back and forth mentioned the 2 rumble paks (which weren't in the ad) and offered to add them in and make it 30 total. I didn't want to say I didn't want them or try and get them added in for the original price of 25 (for fear of nuking the deal) so I replied back saying I would meet him in the middle from his original asking price which he agreed on. When I meet up with the guy as luck would have it he had an extra copy of two games he didn't mention before hand that was in with the bundle.

I got Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on the GBA for $2 today. Apparently it was re-released on the PS2 in 2008. I haven't played a Kingdom Hearts game since I beat the first one, I guess I should give it a chance.

Well I went home to Indiana to visit my family and I got everything in all these pics for $312 total.

Pics are everything I got on the trip, alot of the snes, n64 stuff came from a good chain of stores in Indiana that had a nice buy 1 get 1 sale going on.

I think the last picture has a few good things in it.

    Today's findings:

Sealed 3DS Super Monkey Ball ($3) and DC House of the Dead 2, Soul Calibur & Tokyo Extreme Racer ($1 each) were at a random thrift near my work.

GC Mario Party 7 (missing manual, $4.99), Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack ($4.99) and Xbox 360 Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts Demo Disc ($3.99) were at a random thrift near my gf's house.

PS1 Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee was $3.99 at a Salvation Army.

Sealed PC Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection ($4.99) and American McGee's Alice ($4.99) were at a different Salvation Army, in fact the same one where I found this sealed Alice. This one is opened at the bottom, which I guess explains why it's a dollar more.

Decided to drop in the local Play N Trade this afternoon. Figured I'd find something of value there eventually.

RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

From a Goodwill I checked out after work on Sunday:

    Xbox:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II (complete) - $2.99

Not bad for one of the priciest games on the system.

So, hi! Guess who finally had some finds?

Not pictured: Two Maxell 25 DVD-R Spindles for $3 each
Office Professional 2003 Academic (I know I said I'd stay away from these but this doesn't have the stupid "Works on X machines" thing.) - $4

    From yesterday:
The Erroll Garner Collection 2: Dancing on the Ceiling - $1

    From today:
New Kids on The Block: Hangin' Tough (this find is dedicated to MarioMania) - $1
Metal Gear Solid Greatest Hits - $1 (?!)
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers - $1
    Radiohead - Kid A - $1 (down from $2)
Highlights from The Who's Tommy (Original Cast Recording) - $1 (down from $2)
The Girl from Ipanema: The Antonio Carlos Jobim Songbook - $2

    And this.

... It was a Target return, crushed, and taped shut. But you could see the DVD and product code were still in the case. I asked the seller, he said $1. So I took a gamble.

    And the key worked.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA I GOT PORTAL 2 FOR ONE DOLLAR

Here are some pictures of the SNES I got that was in really bad shape. I'm just going to post a link for anyone interested in seeing more as it was a 25 MB upload across 11 pictures.

    http://imageshack.us/g/833/backfc.jpg/

One picture shows some small plastic and dust etc junk that was inside the system and another shows a part of the plastic that completely broke off inside the system when I was trying to take it apart and damage from a ceiling to the one corner of the system that I accidently did when I was trying to split the broken shell apart enough to get out said broken piece.

It was obvious it was in bad shape but I didn't realize how bad the inside was till I was trying to take it apart so that I could at least clean the plastic shell of the system. Seems as if the SNES was thrown I would guess when somebody's temper got out of control.

Got a little Mario plush from Goodwill for 49 cents. It's too small to take a pic of by itself but I'll add one when I find some more stuff later this week.

Damn. Someone should start a site that focuses on abused retro systems that they take in and fix up, complete with before and after pictures.

That's probably the nastiest fucking system I have ever seen. I hope you wore a haz-mat suit.

Helping my mom clean out her house so she can sell it and ran across some stuff of mine that I forgot I had, nothing spectacular but finds in the sense I didn't have them before.

I found a copy of Tiger Woods 06 for the XBOX and a Dreamcast controller with two VMU's. I will probably just take them to Play'N'Trade for the few bucks I can get in store credit.
Looking to buy any Criterion movies that I don't already have.
