Default Super R-type *Update New Games SNES*

Just came in the mail today, box got crushed pretty badly :/ but its is ok I just wanna play the game.

So far it is pretty sweet, a little different from the Turbografx-16 version i have been playing recently. By different i mean TG-16 has flicker, and SNES has alot of slowdown. I have only beaten the first level, but now i gotta go to class.

How is super r-type 3 compared with these two? Worth getting if i like the tg-16 alot, and so far I am enjoying Super r-type?

R-Type III on the SNES is incredible. Just stay away from the GBA version.

The short answer is yes. It is a wholly original R-Type designed for the SNES. It is absolutely one of the best games in the genre on the system, and is a must play if you are an R-Type fan.

Super R-Type is actually just an inferior port of R-Type 2. You can actually find better versions either for the Gameboy Color (as part of R-Type DX) or the Playstation (as part of R-Types. This version is arcade-accurate).

Got a new game in...about 12 hours ago...it is now 4:18 ish in the A.M...and I am bored, thought i would show you guys my stuff

If you can't read the white sticker on the back, it says "Used- Very Good"

Not sure if that is bad labeling or bad shipping...

This may have been a nice addition to the thread you started yesterday about this particular copy of Super R-Type arriving in the mail. The game has some wicked box art.

This is the single greatest contemporary thread on Digital Press as of this posting.

The horizontal tear across the face of the label: Careless removal of a rental security strip prior to resale, or the work of sexually repressed leprechauns?

How many times do you think the box has been sat on? I am guessing two.

Do you think someone read the instruction manual while making doo doo on the toilet in between play sessions?

    Discuss.

Really? damn, must have missed it... and no luck on finding R-type 3 today, instead i bagged these

Fuzzy but they are Super Castlevania IV, and Williams arcade's
    greatest hits

    and Gradius 3

I had arcade classics on genesis, but now SNEs, and I have only played SCIV once, on an emulator , Gradius... never played but i tested it in the store and went ahead with it, not too bad of prices, thought castlevania was a little high? (23 bucks) but i really wanted it

    Just the first two, sadly.

Doesn't matter much as you can usually find R-Types for $10 or less (and you'll probably never beat the games anyway), but it would be nice if they would release a comprehensive collection of all the arcade games. Come on Irem, Konami gave us nearly the entire Gradius series on the PSP, why can't you give us a bone too?

Yeah i would buy it in a heartbeat, I did look for R-type 3 AND the playstation version but I couldn't find either of them. I found two shooters (i think) on the ps1...RayCrisis and RayStorm? are those any good? I was never really into the ps1, so not sure.
