NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- A new arcade cabinet was unveiled: the "DP Racer", a multi-game cabinet with steering wheel, stick shift, gas and brake pedals capable of playing over 50 different arcade driving games.
- The 6pm tournament was Atari 8-bit Asteroids! The crazy 4-player version was ultimately won by Micky "Vectorman" Wright who vaporized the opposition.
- The arcade challenge winner was Gabe, who managed the highest score in "Rampage".
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

This month, we're turning Japanese. Sega Saturn and Dreamcast imports will be abundant as fighting games and shoot'em ups that were only released in Japan make their way onto our own little island. In addition, we'll have a host of crazy Super Famicom (that's Japan's Super NES for you n00bs) games that you can try. Look for Cho-Aniki, Final Fight Revenge, Psyvariar, Radiant Silvergun, Twinkle Star Sprites, and Zero Gunner 2 among dozens of others.

Tournament! Many NAVA veterans will remember the "Random Retro" tournaments held on the Atari 2600 but few will remember the "Sega Shuffle" held only once a few years back. It's time to bring it back and post a winner on the store's Tournament Hall of Fame. How do you play? Each round will feature a different Sega impport game. In some rounds, the higher score moves on. In some, you have to defeat your opponent. You won't know what game you're getting until it loads up, and neither will your competitor. Sign up at 5pm, the tournament starts around 6 and is FREE to join.

Arcade challenge! Right out of Japan, we've chosen "Kid no hore hire Daisakusen" for today's challenge. It's a maze game that could only be found in the US as a TurboGrafx-16 game called "Cratermaze". The person who logs in the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 8pm will get a $20 gift certificate for the Digital Press store and will be added to the "House Champion" tournament plaque on the Wall of Fame just above the arcade section of the store. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day. Get your practicing in now!
