Default Dungeon Explorer II for Turbo Duo

Anyone know how much a US copy of Dungeon Explorer II would be worth? It's in excellent condition, but sadly missing the manual. I do have a photocopied manual for it that I purchased from Turbo Zone Direct when they were still around. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Umm, this game is very rare and I would value what you have at no less than $80. A very rare game to come by, even without a manual the game is awesome and hard to find.

... Unless I'm mistaken this is one of those pushing-$200-when-CIB Turbo Duo games (along with Beyond Shadowgate, Terraforming and Might & Magic III).

One just ended on ebay for $113.05 that was complete and scratch free.
Id say around 60-70 if the disc is mint.

Did Beyond Shadowgate come with an outer box? I know most Turbografx games came with them but I've never seen an outer box for this one, I have a copy but no outer box. Just wondering if mine is complete.

No outer box for that one (and many other late releases). It did come with a poster though, if you have that your copy is complete.

Cool, I have the poster so it's complete then. The guy I got it from cut up the boxes for the other games he had so I'm glad this is still ok, the games that only had a box and plastic tray were cut up and fit into standard CD cases. I'm still happy with everything as it was one of my best finds ever, and I'm still surprised that this one game is now worth almost $200 complete. Thanks.

Ouch, cutting up the boxes on those late plastic tray games? Well, luckily if you have manuals for those games they are technically complete by most standards. For whatever reason I've found that most collectors don't care about the boxes when it comes to TG games.

You might already be aware but if you contact Sparky (a member here and pcenginefx forums) you can get custom spine stickers that look awesome. It's a great way to make those games that came with plastic trays look just like all the other games.

One of the games cut up was the Turbochip Bonk 3, this is missing the manual too. I believe the other games still have the manuals. Not just those plastic tray ones but all boxes were cut up, he kept the back of the boxes and fit some together with the manual in the standard jewel cases that came with the Turbografx games. Not all of the boxes(or pieces of boxes) he kept, apparently he was short on space and did it when he bought the games new. Still besides the boxes the games were in good shape as the CD games weren't scratched, it was still amazing to get everything as it was a great collection of games.

I have some games I got elsewhere still in the boxes but they really are flimsy and cheaply made, I really don't mind if games are missing them for myself but I won't get rid of any if I get them with the games(I tend to care more about completeness if a game is rare or valuable). I do know of Sparky and his replacement labels, he's actually somewhat near to where I am and I've met him in person a few times(he's a nice guy). Personally I'd rather have games in original condition so I won't bother with the labels, if anything I would try to get games in better condition still in the boxes. But I'm still fine with what I have....and I'm cheap.

Thanks everyone for your insight. I've been thinking of parting with some of my rarer games and had no idea what this would go for without the manual. I appreciate it!

Damn!!! I hope whomever got that appreciates it. I'd love to have this game (and M&M III, and Beyond Shadowgate), but unless I get lucky like that I doubt I ever will.
