    Default SNES issue (horizontal lines)

Hey guys, I searched the forum but didn't come across what I was looking for. :/
    I have a SNES.
When it boots, it runs fine. about 15 minutes into gameplay, it starts getting scrolling horizontal lines that are a:annoying and b: disrupt the sound somehow.

I noticed people on here have had vertical line issues, vertical purple lines etc, but I haven't seen any forums for horizontal.

Any game I put in will have the same effect, unless I leave the system off for a period of time.

    Suggestions?
    -Ken

First thing I would check is your power supply. Do you have another that you can test on the same SNES?

    Unfortunately I do not. :/
I switched out the video cables and it does the same thing.
The Power supply is new, and I can't see it being the problem, but you may be right.
Also, I have cleaned the Cartridges and the PINS on the snes.

    I'm glad I could help.

If that was the problem I would suggest looking for an official SNES-002 power supply. The aftermarket ones are okay for temp use but I wouldn’t want to use one for long periods of time.

So it still does it, but the intensity is less. Overall better, but I'll be looking for another power adapter asap!

Just so you know that would still be a vertical issue, not horizontal

How so? The lines are from the left of the screen to the right... thus horizontal.
    Am I missing something?

because the vertical portion of the screen opens from the center up and down, the horizontal portion opens right to left. So when ever you see horizontal lines its a vertical problem, hard to explain by typing, if you dont understand i will draw a picture for you
