I was going to post it up to my FB page and the one other site I could think of that I post which is Gaming Addicts.

I can't wait to see what your top 10 will be. I'm sure it will be just as knowledgeable as the rest of the have been.

The "problem" is that the closer I get to that #1 slot, the more passionate I am about the games, the more I feel I have to write and gather some interesting tidbits about. Add to playing them all ten of them again to acquire pictures and commentary the process does take longer than I'd like.

I'd like to be finished tomorrow, but at the moment all I've got is the skeleton of my next article. I'm hoping it won't be another month before I'm finished, but it won't be right away.

I'm steadily finishing up the final top 10, but was wondering how you guys would prefer to see it. I'm wondering if it might not be a bad idea to do a final count down of only releasing one entry at a time once per day for the next ten days.

This way would allow individual comments to be left for each entry, allow me time to write the next one without keeping you guys waiting for the whole thing, and avoid a monstrously large final post. It will be a little bit better for everyone in my estimation. What do you guys think? The alternative is I keep you all waiting until I'm completely done the entire article and it takes a good deal of time to read through the whole thing.

Sound off below. I'll be deciding based on the feedback I get here and a few other places.

I personally enjoy reading your full articles. It's the length of them that I enjoy the most, as it makes for a great long read! Keep up the great work!

Dishing out the top 10 piecemeal seems like a reasonable thing to do. ShinobiMan highlights a good point, though - the sprawling reads of the previous chunks of your top 100 are awfully satisfying to work through. It doesn't make a terribly large difference either way but I say go with a one-at-a-time approach if you think it'll accelerate the writing process and generate more traffic.

Alrighty guys, I've decided the best way to tackle the final top 10 is individual posts once a day for the next ten days. Of course, you needn't agree with my choices, I'm just sounding my voice. I do hope for a discussion about these though, as they represent my absolutely favorites.

    So here's #10.

Kirby's game is far too easy. I hesitate to even call it a platformer since there is no actual platforming required. You can literally float over all of the enemies and skip everything. It's like using the cape in Super Mario World to fly above the screen for the entire level.

I did try to give it my best, though. I don't recall how far I got. Maybe level eight?

Little Samson is certainly a fun game, but I can't see myself every shelling out the current market price for it.

Okay, moving on to #7! This one was pretty exhausting. I rewatched several documentaries and did quite a bit of research and fact checking on my own for this, and even got some help by the great Frank Cifaldi of the lostlevels.org. I hope you guys enjoy!

You should revise the comment about the term "tetra" -- it is not the Russian word for four. Four is четыре. (I have no idea how to romanize Cyrillic words.) It vaguely resembles what "tetra" sounds like but it's still quite distant that I'd never have this cross my mind. However, it seems to be the derivation of the Greek word for four, though.

    http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tetra-

Looking at the Russian word of the game, Тетрис, I see it sounds like tetra partially but it is still not a Russian word regardless even if that's the wordplay intended by the game's name.

Yo, Satoshi Matrix! If Tengen Tetris had no multiplayer mode and copies of it was as abundant as Nintendo's version, would you still prefer it to Big N's official version?

From my understanding, there were only one or two sprite updates in each game and the rest was supposed to be untouched compared to the original standalone releases. I have that dual cart and played through both FF1 and 2 and I don't recall any glitches so it has to be something minor or difficult to notice unless you know what you're looking for. The fact I played through those two games without raising an eyebrow is why I want to know what allegedly is wrong with them...

Regarding the description of that re-release, you could perhaps point out the package comes with a full-color double-sided map, one map for each game's overworld, and a guidebook that gives you an overview of everywhere you need to go through the two games along with appendices to check on things like the equipment stats and who can equip what (relevant to FF1 and certainly useful!) These bonus items are definitely what made selecting it over the two original prints an easy choice.

I'm also surprised FF1 was chosen over FF3 (maybe FF3 is higher up the list!) but I guess the historical significance combined with the lack of exposure of FF3 outside Japan were the influences.

FF3 blew me away as I thought it was so epic that it surpassed the two predecessors combined.

No, probably not. The game's rarity isn't the primary reason I like it so much; I like it because of the multiplayer, especially the co-op mode with the computer. If Tengen Tetris was missing these options, it wouldn't be any better or worse than the Nintendo release. It's a moot point though - with all the options in Tengen's build, it is the clearly superior version of Tetris, at least in my opinion. The only other version that comes close to it is Tetris DS.

Please read the previous entries. I put a lot of time and thought into them, and include hyperlinks to each of the previous entries right at the top of every article. As you said, I did indeed list Final Fantasy III in the overall top 100, just not in the top 10. It might be a technically superior game to Final Fantasy 1, but the historical significance and simple brilliance of the first game pushes it ahead of its sequel in the same way Metroid Prime would list higher on a GameCube list than Metroid Prime 2 Echos would.
