There was a time during the late 90s where my mother would actually pester me for play time on the SNES (Tetris Attack and Dr. Mario) since it was in my room. I have tried to get her to play it again, but she complains that she forgets what time it is when she plays them now that she's older.
My sister has a black Wii connected to the same TV that she bought back in April and has never actually played. It seems my family is not entirely apathetic to gaming but I have no idea why they bother.
I can't add to the responses, but I'm curious in this as well. I'm starting to expand my collecting to other sytems that I never cared about, mostly the GB / GBC / GBA. I know I can play GBA games on my DS Lite, but I totally forgot that GB / GBC games could be played on my SNES. Gives me more motivation to collect as I'm more of a console guy than a handheld one.

I got my Mom addicted to Qix on the 5200. I actually even taught her to turn on the TV, turn on the system, and start the game. That wasn't an easy task. This was a lady that called me to set her clocks(VCR, Microwave, oven, etc.) every time the power went out.

BZZT. A GBC game will only work with the Super Game Boy if it would work with an old-fashioned B&W GB, i.e. if it has a black shell. There is no way to play GBC-only games on a SNES. (Yes, Japan did get an SGB2, but that only added a link port and not GBC functionality.)
By the way, I presume one of those flash carts will work properly on the SGB?

I haven't played it on the Super Gameboy but Qix for the Gameboy is really fun, I have the NES version too but it just doesn't play right for some reason. Mario's Picross is also really fun and I think it has Super Gameboy support.
