    Default Temper temper!

What was the last game you blew up at, chucked your controller, kicked the console or threw something? Mine was Fatal Frame- I was trying to photograph a ghost (I think it was Wandering Monk) & it WOULD NOT STAY STILL!!! I tried 10 TIMES!!! I threw the controller so hard I had to buy another. My wife was amused. What's worse, I damaged the disc but was able to fix it enough to finish the game. Thank you, Disc Doctor! Now it hangs up right after the playable intro ends.

Last night playing Super Monkey Ball 2. Those levels on the hardest setting frustrate the hell out of me. I just don't have time to play the same level 50 times until I get everything perfect.

Although, there is a great feeling of accomplishment when you get past a level.

If I don't make it to the next save-state in Turok: Evolutions, Chapter 3 I'm am gonna put the XBox controller through the wall. Come on man it's only Chapter three how can I suck this bad already? I think I' must have played this part 50 times so far.

I'm with Revolt on this one - why break my goodies? Besides, I try not to hang on to too much anger in general, let alone when I'm playing games.

Actually, I can list EVERY time I've ever thrown a controller.

When I was younger, I was playing SOMETHING, and broke the stick off of my NES advantage by throwing it (A hard feat as I'm sure you'll know)

Then I threw it twice on hot shots golf 1+2 for the PS

Then probly 2-3 times playing sports games against my father, most recently being Maddeon 2003 on an interception.

I dropped my PS controller many times during Hot Shots Golf 2.

I actually cracked the plastic on one controller by crushing it in my fist after I lost the World Series by giving up 23 runs to the Red Sox in the bottom of the 9th after 2 were out on VR Baseball 97...

My cabinet has a series of dents caused by Super Monkey Ball, actually, my head hitting the wood after dying on a level for the 56th time in a row. (I need to get #2)

Default it's always funny until someone gets hurt...

..and then it's just hilarious, as the song goes.

about 5 or so years ago...

at a friend's place, after we all were whipping him in a few rounds of mega bomberman (genesis), he threw his controller down on the carpet so hard, it bounced up and chipped his tooth! then, as we were all rolling on the floor laughing, he tried to stomp on the thing, slipped, and fell on his ass, causing his girlfriend to jump up and konk him on the head with the bottle of beer she had in her lap. it was quite a bit of fun at the hospital trying to explain all that to the doctor. damn, i miss those guys...=^P

    Default pee-esss...

to get that ghost in fatal frame, you have to anticipate where he's going to be and shoot two or three pics in a row...took me 4 tries, with all the reloading of saved games and whatnot...=^P

    Default temper tantrum

The first and last time this ever happened to me a couple years ago when I broke my N64 pad playing Excitebike 64. I flung the controller around like the mighty Thor with his mace, and slammed it to the ground repeatedly, as bits of plastic flew all over the room.

The thing I regret most about this was that I traded my Excitebike 64 because (a) it pissed me off and (b) I needed to finance a new controller. I still haven't replaced this excellent game.

After breaking about 20+ controllers in my lifetime, the last straw was earlier this year... trying to get all golds on the GT3 license tests. One was really hanging me up, so I decided to whip my controller real freakin' hard at my brand new S-VHS. Very stupid. You can probably guess the new vow, and it hasn't been broken since.

Wreckless: Mission B4. I quickly learned what kind of damage that controller does when it hits something, such as the wall.

When held in a hostile manner... "that" controller is considered a lethal weapon in 17 States.

Oh my God- these tales are awesome...I KNEW I wasn't the only one! (Once I was at a friend's playing NES MegaMan & he actually SPIT on the TV screen!) Yeah, I know it's not wise to break things, but I kinda look at buying a new one as my punishment...
