So either they messed up or it was intentional, but if you are an 3DS Ambassador you can download the first part of your stuff now

Thanks for the heads up, if there was ever the need for a download que on the eshop this would be it. :P
Is it me or is loading anything on the net painfully slow on the 3DS? Seems no better than the DS.. I know my ipod does a hell of a lot better.
As of right now, I'm not seeing it. Are you in America?

Yes I am in America, you have to go to Settings/Other then to Downloads and you can download them from there. I don't think they are available in Europe yet only North America and Japan.

Thank you, I found it. They were kind of hidden. Here are instructions I copied from a website:
"Nintendo plans to release 10 free NES games to 3DS Ambassadors tomorrow via the eShop, but using a fairly simple trick you can download them right now and cackle as you BEAT THE SYSTEM.
Go into the eShop and scroll all the way to the left. Click on 'Settings / Other'. Scroll down on that list and click on 'Your Downloads' to see your download history.
Scroll past all the downloads you've made since you got your 3DS and you will see the 10 free NES games sitting right there, with a giant 'Redownload' button just begging to be pressed.
And that's it - the 10 free NES games are yours and any plans to sleep tonight are cancelled.
This differs slightly from the official way Nintendo wants you to download them, who says you'll get access to them via the 'Account Activity' option in the Settings menu - tomorrow.
Forget that though - we've just done it the crafty way, everything works perfectly and there are no Nintendo helicopters outside our windows, so go for it."

Nintendo's website also explains how to download them.

I was about to bitch about Nintendo not giving us the FDS version of Metroid with the save slots until I discovered that even when the game is un-suspended from the Home menu that when you re open it, it will return you to the exact spot where you left off.
A nice selection of NES games for sure. Glad to have them!

So so mix of stuff. I guess for first party and free it isn't bad though. Meh @ Yoshi and Golf though. Still, I might play em a bit here and there. Will be interesting to see what the GBA ones are....

I'll be interested as well; not because I'm an ambassador but curiosity. I still doubt that GBA games will be Ambassador only items in the long run though. Especially since they are supposedly releasing 4 swords as free for everyone. I know not really the same thing as 10 games but; if they think that they can sell them individually to everyone else; (and I think they can at least a few of them) they will.
I'll always welcome a new copy of Metroid and Balloon fight, but I wish you could stretch the aspect ratio. It's kind of hard to see the way it is.
And the sound emulation is poo. Oh well, it was free, and these are definitely quality titles. I've adored Balloon Fight and Wrecking Crew for years. Now maybe they'll get some well-deserved recognition. These were Gumpei Yokoi games, weren't they?
Oh and on a side note...of all the games they could do a 3-D remake of, why Urban Champion?
Pretty lame over half the games are system launch titles. How about a little effort and include Startropics and Kirby's Adventure. Keep phoning it in, NOA, and I'll keep buying like a goddamn moron but I sure as hell won't be happy about it.
