well everyone around here tries to sell them for like 50+ dollars in classifieds and on craigslist cause its a PS2
its a dvd player and game system and its playstation lol.

So to find one donated seems odd to me. I've found 2 ps1's at the good will before (bought one a while back.. and found one next to the ps2... have a feeling both were from the same person.). The only rational explanation as to why I think they are there is probably some kid had them. Goes off to college forgets all about them cause he or she has a PS3 or Xbox360. Mom and dad go through kids room to start turning it into something else (storage room or guest room or whatever). Come across this and not sure what to do with it and thought what the hell donate them to a thrift store or goodwill let them deal with them and make some money off em

Found on Kijiji today. Bought it in a bundle with an n64 system loose with all cables and a controller plus shadows of the empire. Sold all that for $40 and kept the loose game which was essentially $10.

Fair to say, a well deserved addition to my n64 collection. I wish it was CIB.

Not at all video game related, but I've learned a couple of new things to pick up from these threads, so I thought I'd share the knowledge in this case.

Arc fault breakers. Sell for $35 or so at Lowe's $20-25 on Ebay. This is a new one, the coiled white wire shows it hasn't been installed. I got a box of 20 of em for $40. Anyway, if you see em, get em!

..Here’s is stuff I picked up within the last few weeks...misc local garage sales and flea markets..

My town is just a wreck with so much lost from the storm.

My basement was flooded(Irene) and I lost thousands in things I owned, game collection items, system boxes, almost my entire old video game magazine collection, controllers.wires, plugs, motorcycles etc.
After shoveling so many destroyed magazines into big trash bags I sure wish the people I offered to give them all away to for free would of taken them..

I’m trying to rebuild ‘some kind’ of game item stock as I lost almost everything...and also recoup so much lost money by buying and selling.

So everything is always for sale..the only thing I bought below for myself is the sealed 360 game for $8.00

What I ask is,please don’t PM waisting my time as I SEEM TO GET TO MUCH OF,with my basement clean-up I don’t have the time for time waisters.

The pile of wires two Namco guns were $5.00 for the pile..
Game boxes are empty, either to be filled or sold empty.

Thanks I only know a little about them but from what I understand (IIRC) any of the 84s are usually on the higher end value-wise compared to other TI calculators.

Thanks, I think most ppl are in the same boat when it comes to old Atari computer carts. About 5 years ago I passed on some games at a yardsale since I didn't have an Atari computer and they were the usual suspects and all or mostly games I owned for the 2600 and kind of regretted it. Last year yardsaling I was lucky to find a Pengo and with some misc stuff and at another score a good variety of games in a small lot but this bundle clearly stretches further with less stuff.

I see PS2s, XBOXs, GCNs all the time. Hell, I have even found a few 360s. I find it hilarious that this one Goodwill prices their systems insanely high. Someone donated a PS1 that still had a price label from a local store. When the original owner bought it it was $62.95 at the date on the sticker was late 2001. Gotta love the idiot Goodwill people that marked it $35 when there was a stack of PS1s on the other side of the shelf for $10 and $15.

Well, first off, I forgot these from last Thursday:

These were all bought at the local 99 Cent Only store for well, a buck each. All are brand new. I went back there the next day and all copies of NFS Carbon were gone. By Saturday, everything was gone or opened.

    From Monday. $1.

    And... from today.

... Someone had a bag of Pokemon cards. I picked the bag up and looked it over quickly. Noticed a bunch of shiny cards so I figured, why not. I asked for a price, and they said $2. $2? Why not? Maybe I can resell them for that much if they're not worth a lot.

I separated everything - put aside the energy, trainer, and shiny cards. The bag on the left has around 250-300 commons.

I looked up the prices on some of those shiny cards and they appear to sell for anything from $2 to $35. o_O Hoo boy.

Went game hunting all day yesterday hoping to pick up something special. Found about 10 games missing from my collection (my 2nd best score was a CIB and mint M.U.L.E.), but this is easily the crown jewel of yesterday:

I paid a decent amount for it, but still a GREAT buy. Guaranteed anyone here would have happily paid the same amount. It's near perfect btw. 9/10 easily
