There are many, many, many many Sailor Moon games for the Super Famicom. Rule of thumb is $10 - $20 tops. Anyone patient enough to wait it out on eBay will come across the SFC games complete, in the US, for $15 - $20 each eventually.
If it's not the R side scrolling beat-em-up, not the S fighting game, neither of the three S puzzle games, not the RPG, not the SuperS fighting game, the SuperS puzzle game or the Sailorstars Sufami Turbo puzzle game... then you have the original side scrolling beat-em-up, right? CIB, $15.00.
think so
Is the RPG actually rare or are the $40+ CIB prices I see just markups?
not really sure thats why i was hoping i could get help here

This isn't an RPG is it? From one Japanese store it describes the game as a side scroller. I had to translate it into English obviously, but I'll post the source where I got the info. It does seems to be priced by them around $40, but that doesn't mean it's worth that much.
http://www.tea4two.jp/product_info.p...ducts_id/1313/"Sailor Moon" is. Original side scrolling action game cartoon Naoko Takeuchi. Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, do choose one of five sailors from Venus. Punch or kick, but please go and cut the enemy's HP and utilizing reservoir Press the button to draw missile attack. Is excellent because the missile hits also exhilarating off-screen enemies. In terms of all five stages, and appeared to draw the enemy down by Naoko Takeuchi's original.
I see a buy-it-now on ebay for a complete one for under $20, and there's currently an auction for a boxed one that's still going.

The RPG clearly says "Another Story" in English under the Japanese "Sailor Moon" title. If it doesn't have any subtitle or a letter appended to it then it's the original side scroller and it's, as others have said, worth around $15. The RPG does go for a decent amount, tho $40 is on the high side.
Yup, that's the first game, the first beat-em-up. I stand by $15.00 but occasionally you can catch a price spike.
A complete copy of Pretty Solider Sailor Moon Another Story (the RPG) complete with the holofoil trading card can hit $40 easy with the right people. $30.00 would be my limit for that one however.
