The whole US VC lineup just doesn't make sense.
I don't know about,Rondo of Blood and yes it's been out in jpn for a while now for the vc.Still even if they were to release here it has to be aproved by noa frist.Dunno what konami does it puzzle me some times for what they release here.As for,Gradius II Gorfer wasn't that on the gradius collection for the psp ? That could be the reason why...they don't see having it on the vc for the u.s.Btw i still wounder if any of there genesis titles will show up on the vc at all.

I keep hopeing to see rocket knight adventure on it but nothing yet.

Would be nice since i haven't owned a genesis since the 90's.

Nabbed Y's Book I and II today. I had put like 12 games on the friggin' SD card to make it fit. Y's is a larger game than Star Soldier R, if you can believe it. (They must not have bothered to compress the red book audio. They should have.) Of course, just seeing the image of the goddess holding the crystal on the title screen got my juices flowing just as voraciously as this game did when I was in 7th grade. And Yuzo's soundtrack is still perfection. I don't think I've ever heard a better game soundtrack to this day. Pure bliss. For those of you who haven't played this, you ought to jump at the opportunity to try it on a decent TV with no load times or compatibility issues. My Duo no longer produces red book audio, so I'm pretty happy to have this.

There's a lot of stuff in there that sounds great, but what interests me the most is the possibility of the Mega Drive version of Sorcerian making it over here. It'll probably never happen because of the extensive amount of Japanese text requiring translation, but it would be nice. I used to be a real Falcom nerd back in the 90's, and I bought Sierra's PC port of Sorcerian for about $10 on clearance in 1993. Sadly, I couldn't advance past the second level due to what Sierra told me was an "incompatibility with your video card. The program was written to be compatible with a Japanese video card." I was pretty bummed, and I've always wanted to play it through. I've tried the MD version via an emulator, but the menus were so full of Japanese text that I couldn't figure it out.

I grabbed the sides of my monitor and screamed when I saw Super Mario RPG. Me and my brother finally got fed up with waiting for it forever and hooked up the SNES again just to play that game. What awesome timing.

I turned on my Wii, went to the Wii Shop Channel, saw the game there, and I shit my pants in amazement. I need to get Wii Points ASAP.

Ah...Clu Clu Land. I just remembered I have this game on E-Reader Cards for the GBA. Lol...remember those stupid things? Connect the E-Reader to the GBA, scan the six cards and you have Clu Clu Land right there on your GBA. Until you shut off the power of course.

I don't need to tell any of you that Super Mario RPG is one of the best SNES games out there (yet I just did - ha!). I'm glad to see it on the VC.

I own the e-Reader port of Clu Clu Land as well, but I have yet to play it. I've got to check it out someday.

I was being facetious, of course, as anything being released this week will be overshadowed by SMRPG. However, Clu Clu Land really is a cool game. I fell in love with it playing it on an emulator on my Palm Pilot while on call. Nothing was better than a little Clu Clu Land at 3am. It's got that Bubble-Bobble type universal appeal, like how any time is a good time for Bubble Bobble. Clu Clu Land is that way, if you're into it. Some people, (Like my fiancee') have trouble with the control scheme (the limitations are similar to Bionic Commando. Intead of not being able jump, though, you can't turn unassisted). It's worth checking out at least once.

Super Mario RPG is arguably my favorite one in the genre (though it seems to phase back and forth between Earthbound). It's a fantastic title that proves Square was the domination of RPGs in the golden 16-bit era.

Now, as for purported titles on the horizon, Final Soldier (the last great Star Soldier game that America has yet to receive) and CHO FRIGGIN' ANIKI (which is legendary in gamekind nowadays) are alleged to be released. Though, I'm pretty much just going on the Wiki, and I know that's an incredibly bad thing to do, but even the notion of hope has me content. Besides, I fail to see any massive translation issues. They're both shmups; when has dialogue ever been integral to shmups anyway?

*waits for an out-of-the-blue example to obliterate my previous statement*

I got the game just yesterday and this is my 2nd time playing it. Playing this game again brings back so many wonderful memories from when I was.... How old was I? I would say about... 10?

Anyways, the game is awesome, and you should pick it up. Geno for president.

How do SNES games from the virtual console look on a HDTV? I have a 50" plasma.

If you have S-Video or component for your Wii, very sharp. Sharper than the originals via a composite cable. I see things in the Genesis games (signs in Sword of Vermillion, details, little facial expressions or animations) that I couldn't see on an actual Genesis without modding. But it all looks very pixellated, so you have to get used to that.

So, say I have 500 VC pts/$5 to spend. Do I get Adv of Lolo or Clu-Clu Land? Opinions please! (I'll obviously get more pts in the future ) Which should I buy first?

vc-reviews.com gave Lolo 4/5 stars, & Clu-Clu 2/5, & I dig the whole puzzle game genre, but to me Clu-Clu seems more fun.
