Neo-Geo after SNK/SNKP, still going

I don't recommend AES system, period, at this point, games are insanely expensive (it's only getting worse).

That, and the AES version of Samurai Spirits Zero Special was edited due to some slashing that took place prior to its release.

But damn do those cartridges look nice and it would be awesome to have a literally million-dollar collection. Currently my stance is "if I find AES games in the wild, I'll get into the system. Otherwise I'll just play the games thru ports."

I've got a board but it's getting hard to find someone available to consolize the thing. Most are rather busy with other projects.

You know you can play the unedited SSVS using a unibios, as long as your copy is not one that got sent back to SNK to get fixed.

Heh, I called it "classy" with a slight bit of facetiousness. It does look nice, but I find the concept of an real wood system hilarious. Although when I showed it to my fiance, now he's steadfast on making a wooden case for his Neo Geo his next project, haha. Our Neo Geo is already consolized, though. Considering how expensive it is to buy a consolized MVS, I'm surprised that there aren't more people doing it themselves. It really is quite easy, so it just comes down to if you think it's worth spending hundreds more just to have a super slick case (not that ours looks horrible; a two-slot already has metal casing and controller ports, so you can get the power supply inside of that and drill some holes for buttons, switches, jacks, etc., leaving you with a system that looks relatively like a home console). It's too bad that my fiance's mini-FAQ on MVS consolizing died with Geocities.
