    Default Question about PS3 "prompts"

You know how on the PS3 everytime you want to do something like quit a game or Netflix or turn off the system or whatever, it always says, "are you sure yes or no"?? Is there any way to disable this? I am so sick of every system "making sure" you want to go through with your selection. I'm a big boy, let me do what I want !!

    Nope.

For every 5,000 times that it asks me, there is one time that I actually say "oh shit, actually no". But for the other 4,999 times I am like "YEEEEEEEEEEEES, DAMN YOU!!!"

    Mmm hmm.

I've been shouting at "are you SURE you want to" double-check messages for years.

I get while they're there, but other than say, formatting a device, there should be a an option to kill them.

I never really found them to be that big of a deal, I've accidentally hit quite a few times when switching to a dieing controller to a fully charged one and from rolling on my bluetooth remote when watching Netflix. So it's saved me from a slightly annoying occurrence.

    I agree 100% with op.

I don't mind that the prompts exist, but please, PLEASE have a little box that says "Do not prompt in the future". I'm willing to take the risk. I'm a big boy.

Hell, windows gives me the option to turn off the confirmation before emptying the recycle bin, and that's more important that exiting netflix on the ps3.

YES !! Or at least let me change it to something like, "do you still love me?" and then I click "yes" and it says, "are you sure?"

And while we're at it, how about an option to turn off that shrill beep the system emits every time you turn it on or press the eject button. What the hell, it's not a microwave, it shouldn't beep as you press the buttons.
