I got an awesome turbo grafx 16 lot from kijiji:

    System/Accessories:
    • 2 turbografx consoles
    • 1 turbo controller
    • 1 turbo AC adapter
    • 2 turbo RF adapters
    • 1 boxed turbo booster
    • turbografx instruction booklets
    • Turbografx hint book (I already had volume 1 - this is volume 2)
    • Kickass tg16 poster - rough shape but cool regardless

    Games:
    • Dungeon Explorer (case, hucard and booklet)
    • Military Madness (case, hucard and booklet)
    • Keith Courage (case, hucard and booklet)
    • Keith Courage (sealed - case, hucard and booklet)
    • Bonk's Adventure (misc. case)
    • R-Type (complete with outer box)
    • Ballistix (complete with outer box)

I'm pretty happy about this pickup

Does it make sense that the Keith's Courage is sealed without an outer box?

I think it was a pack-in game, so yes.

Rather dry week here. Did grab an extra Final Fantasy Origins for $3. And an untested PS2 for $7. Both of those are going to the resale bin of course.
    Lum fan.

The woman who cuts my hair gave me some old "Atari tapes" her husband had in their attic for a long time. Wasn't just Atari carts, there were a bunch of VIC-20 cartridges, a data cassette drive for the VIC that has a C64 tape inside, an analog Apple II/IBM joystick, and some System 7 Mac software. Pretty eclectic bunch of games. There's the black VIC-20 cart on top of the stack called IFR Flight Simulator that's rare, but that's about it.

Not pictured is a Dreamcast I picked up for $9.99. I haven't tested it, although knowing my luck with these things it'll be dead as a doorknob.

    Holy fuck.

If you're trading that Wallobee Jack game, I'm interested in it!

Ok, seems the system ate my first attempt at this post...

Checked out the thrifts in Hialeah in that Flamingo Plaza. Those places are a complete waste of time, but they randomly have something completely awesome which is the only reason I ever go there. As usual, didn't find shit gaming-wise but I did pick up the ornament below, for a buck too.

A little later I was in Hallandale so I stopped at the Goodwill on Hallandale just off of 95 and at least I found something to make up for the time wasted in Hialeah.

I only picked up the genesis sports games because they each came with a poster and the baseball game even had the manual for Sonic Spinball in it as well.

They re-released Adventures of Link during the NES lifespan?

Nice Gameboy Color, and unrelated, but where did you get that Catherine poster-thing? Was it in a collector's edition?

On a moderately-related, mostly-tangiential note, Amazon.com has the Catherine Love is Over Deluxe Edition for Xbox 360 for only $59.09 right now. I picked up a copy a few days ago and can't wait for it to arrive.

I got it from eBay. It's a custom print ! Here is something like it not sure if it's the same but there you go. I have some new ones coming my way too, can't wait! Also, about the Zelda yes there were re-releases with the gray carts being the second editions. They have been said they are harder to find but I think it's just about the same.

I just tried it. It looks amazing on HQ. It doesn't look quite pixel perfect, but it's still really good quality. Doubly so since the player has no input latency whatsoever. Your unit must've been stuck on EP or worse to look like a 1995 AVI.

Indiana Jones was $4.99 at Goodwill; Rebel Assault was $3.99 at the Salvation Army the next block down. Both are still sealed.

It wasn't. I compared the videos, and that was the best it could do with a video game.

Well, if you're going to sell Indy on eBay, you might get a bit of money. I sold one just like that, but for DOS, for $100.

    Ha, no man.

A sealed copy is worth a lot. It has two things going for it - it's a sealed LucasArts game, and it's an Indiana Jones item.

Unfortunately it's also a Macintosh version, which means it might be worth a lot less since those versions are more common than the DOS one for some weird reason.

I was so jealous of that sealed Fate of Atlantis until I noticed it was the Mac version. Plus there's some damage on the right edge. Still worth more than what was paid though.

It's always great when something you've been trying to find for years finally shows up. In my case, this arrived today, purchased off eBay for something like $25 shipped...

A TI Touch & Tell. Nothing all that spectacular about that, they can be found. However let's see what it includes. The two overlays for the built in activities - yep. The manual along with World of Transportation with all of its overlays - yep. All About Me with all of its overlays and manual - yep. Oh, and what's this? The super rare E.T. cartridge with all four of its overlays AND the manual? Mm-hmm.

Years ago we had one of these when my sisters were really little. I have no idea what happened to it but I remember the E.T. activities and never coming across that setup ever again. Once in a blue moon an E.T. cartridge will show up with a Touch & Tell but rarely does it have the required overlays, and even if it does, the lot usually only includes one.

I can't believe the bidding stayed so low. One of those loose E.T. carts was with another lot a few months ago and I dropped out at around $50.

Now I can "find the delicious candy" whenever I want. Youth preserved. And hey, it's another Touch & Tell saved from some jackass circuit bender that would just hack it up, make it non-functional, and then try to sell it on eBay for $200. I swear, there are some electronics that I would dig through thrift stores all day to find - that they will destroy.

Heh, I just thought it funny that I found 2 sealed Mac games practically next to each other. Oh well...
