Functionality wise it's ok. Just as much as a slight pain as the last update. I dont know what's up for those who have problems finding the indie stuff but I found them right away.
Like others, I too liked the blades.

Honestly, I'm just waiting for the YouTube app.
I don't mind this update, compared to what we had in the past. I agree that it takes a long time to sort through lists of games. The option to list them instead of seeing them in coverflow would be better.
It seems there are fewer advertisements this time around. Either that, or they're just not as glaring.
My biggest issue is that they broke something that really matters to me: the ability to stream Zune Pass songs from my PC. I can stream purchased and ripped songs, but not subscription based ones, and they're from Microsoft's subscription service.
I noticed that shutdown is slower on my 360 since the update. Before, it would shut down instantly when I'd select that option with the controller. Now, it takes a good 20-30 seconds before the fan stops spinning.
Anyone else has noticed that on their Xbox as well?
I agree with much of what has been said already.
-It's way too hard to sort through my games. No way to filter out arcade games, scrolling through that list is a chore.
-It's evident the tiles are geared towards advertising since the largest ones are ads. A tiny tile to launch the game in the disc tray is lame.
-Try changing the theme on your Xbox now. Good luck finding where you do that.
-Beacons could have been implemented better.
-Not as easy to use without Kinect.
-The original "blades" dash is still my favorite.
The worst thing about this new dash tho? My 360 RROD'ed 10 minutes after I installed it. It could just be coincidence, but I'll be a conspiracy theorist and say it's too peculiar to be a coincidence.
If it wasn't a coincidence and was actually a direct result of the new dash, I think it would've been a widespread problem. It didn't decide just to pick your 360 to cause a RROD on.
Yet it doesn't seem to be causing any widespread issues other than annoyances with the design itself.
Mine is the red Resident Evil 5 model, so yes, I have an older model.
I have a 3 year old arcade model with a 20GB. and it still shuts down at the same speed. Or at least seems to.
I have to say, I was wrong about the Cloud Storage and its limitations. After playing with the new dash some more, I realized that MS did away with the old gamertag migration/recovery idea, and made it so you can now download your profile and gamertag permanently to multiple consoles (cue angels singing)! Finally! I have no idea how many consoles they let you do this for, but I put my main gamertag on both of my Xbox systems. You only have to download your profile once, and the profile remains active on both systems without having to recover every time you switch consoles. The download of the profile itself was much faster and more streamlined than it used to be. You cannot log in on one gamertag on both systems at the same time, which makes sense.
I have not tried downloading DLC or arcade games to my 2nd console yet, but I'm assuming the DRM works the same as before, meaning you would have to be connected to Live on the 2nd console for the DLC to work. This makes cloud storage much more awesome and useful!

I read a thread on the official Xbox forums about the slow shutdown and it may be due to online updates being transmitted when we turn off the console. When I get home tonight, I'll see if there are some settings like automated cloud updates that are activated and see if the shutdown is back to normal after disabling those settings.
If anyone tries it, let us know if it makes a difference, and which settings you actually turned off for this.
No errors at all prior to the update, now I'm seeing E71 and E72 errors when i try to go back to the dash from a game, and I cannot look at achievements when I get them in-game or in the guide menu.
Running a Resident Evil system.
I just checked my shutdown times, prior to enabling cloud storage it shut down immediately.
After enabling cloud storage I got about 10-15 seconds of extra activity after it shut down the video feed and two extra blinks on the center green power light. I assume that was the XBOX sending stuff TOOOO THE CLOOOOUDS!!
No errors coming in or out of any games.
I'm running an Arcade unit from around the time they added HDMI to video out.

I haven't updated my partners 360 in forever, but I've always found the 360's menus a pain to navigate.
