I basically had to drag myself out of bed Saturday morning and I was glad I did. I hopped over to the local flea market and started looking around. The regular electronics seller had some new NES games.

Anyways, I was browsing through his new stack of NES stuff and got Castlevania, Flintstones (the Dino & Hoppy one), and LITTLE SAMSON! Yeah, just randomly in a stack of NES games was Little freaking Samson. It's in good shape, too. The games were $4 a piece, and an excellent start to the year.

Sunday morning I went out again, but only found the group of 3 Pac-Man plushes for $5.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

    View my collection!

1985 Garbage Pail stickers binder $5.00

GO KART Frame..(me all day) $50.00....Passed ,no room or time for more projects.

I picked up a bunch of stuff today at a garage sale that I still need to look through.

I won an ebay auction for a sealed copy of Okami (PS2) black label version for 20 dollars even.

I also bought a lot of a top loader NES, 2 classic NES controllers, Bad Dudes, and Operation Wolf for a total of 25 dollars. I found this at a thrift store in a very bad neighborhood. lol

It seems like a lot of folks are finding good stuff already in 2012!!
What thrift store did you find those at? I haven't been finding anything of note in the Birmingham area thrifts.
    In Heaven, everything is fine.

    $4.00 at a flea market.

This is up there with Disc world 2 and Dragon warrior IV as my rarest find ( R Level 6 )

Also salvaged 5 N64 games from a vendor selling OUTSIDE ( he was the only one ) in 30 degree weather. Wouldn't you know it though? It was someonw I knew from another flea market and he gave me a great deal.

Got these 6 for 20 bucks today. Super C is an extra I picked up for trade fodder the other 5 I needed.

blurry cellphone picture of my RB3 keyboard that finally came in the mail

got it a couple weeks back when amazon had them on backorder for $25

Haven't found anything in the wild recently, just a bunch of dirty overpriced consoles. Did see an original Xbox for $5, but it had wires coming out of the vent holes on the sides for some reason. After looking online at teardowns, I can't seem to place where the wires are from. Probably just a botched mod chip install that wasn't worth troubleshooting in the first place.

I've had no gaming finds lately other than a shareware CD filled with Mac games.

After 2+ weeks of deathly illness causing me to not be able to scour the wild, I did ok, I guess...
    Yesterday:

All the Sims games were .50 each, and the Quick Books was only a quarter! I was so happy until... I opened it, and saw the disc was for a HP printer
So a loss of .25 there. Anyone need a box n books

Today was better. .99 day @ Value Village:

The Thomas DVD was .50, the Thomas Book with a bunch of toy trains was $2 (thats all for my son), The Hobbit on Cassette, BBC authorized, 1989 (I like that crap) $2, The NES games with CTR and Covert Ops cost me a total of $18 @ my pawn shop, And the Vsmile, and all of the DVD 's cept Thomas were .99 @ Value Village. Those Tellitubbies.. They actualy get 10-12 each, so it's worth it for a buck. Moster Rancher 2 and Descent II were $2 each, and Outlaw Golf was a buck 25. All in all, ok. Back in the saddle

My first find of 2012 was Earthworm Jim for the Genesis. I've been trying to find one with the label not peeling. This one is just starting to peel ever so slightly. I wouldn't be mad if he hadn't told me there was not peeling or the fact that I pad $4 for it. Oh well, back to the search.

Bundled with a few games they are. I'm a sucker for kids, so I get that crap for nothing when I can. Every kids I know 6 or younger should have a Vsmile! If you have 6 or so games, you can get $20ish. Nothing to write home about.

Mobile post (glad tapatalk is back up) went adventuring to a goodwill I haven't been to before. kind of odd their pricing structures: everything was priced cheap EXCEPT for games. Passed up Battletoads NES cart only at $14.99. Lots of genesis sports games at $4-5, random $10 playstation games.

Had to leave a grandfather clock behind too, wouldn't fit in my car.

wallydawg, we must be hitting some of the same goodwills unless there are two that have an overpriced Battletoads and had a grandfather clock for sale today...I was there just as they were putting the clock out.

At a different goodwill, I picked up a 7800 bundle that included the system with power supply, three official 7800 joysticks, two 2600 joysticks plus a touch pad, and a total of 39 games (13 7800 games and 26 2600 games). While there's nothing RARE in the bundle, it wasn't all commons. Plus, I don't have a 7800 and have wanted one...

Total cost - $56. Probably should have passed, but 7800's rarely pop up around here and after hemming and hawing around for 10-15 minutes I decided to take the plunge and go for it.

Well, mikesides is a pimp. A stud. The fucking Napoleon Dynamite of Spokane's video game collectors. He knows I've been sick, and knows I sell stuff for a living. Got a text today that read "3 broke PS2's @ Pawn 1 for $5 each". In the car, and out the door I was. Got another text on the way they had 2 slims too...

Didn't have time to go back tonight, but they're holding another fat boy for me. $5 each.
Now I owe someone something good...

I got it to test some theories about Mac emulation and disk images. I only had hybrid ISO / HFS CDs, but not an HFS-only disk. And my theory worked. Woohoo.

I'm basically trying to figure out how to copy these CDs so I can submit them to the Internet Archive's Shareware collection. I managed to figure out a way to copy these disks without having to pay a lot of money for specialized software. Now I only need to find someone to help me test this.

Congrats to JeffG on the nice NES find!

Pretty happy so far this year. I hit a couple of new places around my parents house and had some luck.

Sealed Jag CD Hover Strike and Baldies
CIB Sega CD Championship Soccer 94 (this is a dupe and may be up for trade soon)
CIB Saturn Heir of Zendor and Crimewave
    CIB Genesis Fatal Rewind
CIB Mega Drive Super Fantasy Zone (Pal, but works fine in a Laseractive)
SNES Captain Novolin (I know this is just a big ad/edutainment, but it really is close to unplayable!)
CIB PS2 Taito Legends 2 (bought it for G-Darius, Darius Gaiden, and Elevator Action 2)

And the centerpiece of the month so far:
CIB Mega Drive Eliminate Down (100% authentic, bought from a friend of mine) - I guess this means I'm collecting Genesis/Mega Drive SHMUPS now...

Well, it's been ages and ages since I've posted in here!

There's a pawn shop that I used to go to often, and much of the early consoles and games that I got for my collection I got there, but lately they've had nothing and what they do have is overpriced. But when I went there to pick up a component video cable I saw they had SMS and Genesis games for about $2 each, something I don't see often around here.

$2 SMS Marksman Shooting & Trap Shooting
    $2 SMS Bomber Raid
    $4 SMS Double Dragon
    $2 Genesis Judge Dredd
    $2 Genesis Taz-Mania
    $3 GG Jurassic Park

Feels nice to kick back and clean a bunch of cartridges again.
