Default MAME.ini option for showing only working games

This is probably a really stupid and simple problem, but I can't find any documentation on it. I use no frontends, no mame32, I just like to use standard, normal MAME that opens up in a full-screen, DOS-like UI, and I need to have it display only working games (I like to navigate and load random games via controller during gameplay). Is there any text I need to add to the ini file that would make it work the way I want it to? And also, is there a program out there that will delete all non-working ROMs from my directories? Thanks!

I believe there's a verifyroms command line option that would be a good place to start. I can't recall what exactly it does but it should find all your bad roms.

When was the last time you checked ito out? I'm just asking because it hasn't been called "Mame32" for a few years. It's called "MameUI" now.

I understand what you want, but mameui is probably at least worth a try as it's very easy to filter out non-working games even with a bare minimum of configuration (i.e. it doesn't need screenshots, etc.). http://www.mameui.info/
