    Default Outstanding Disney Games

Kingdom Hearts was the first outstanding review I've ever seen for a Disney game. Other Disney games were given mediocre (6or7/10) scores.

Sooo... are there any Disney games that I missed (Atari, Nintendo, Playstation) which are "outstanding" and I should be playing?

Um... GENESISNES....what are you talking about? Magical Quest was the only game that used that, and that was SNES only (yeah, yeah, GBA too, whoopee)

    Here's your list, theaveng:
Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (Genesis)
World of Illusion Starring Mickey & Donald (Genesis)
    Mickey Mousecapades (NES)
    Ducktales (NES)
Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers (NES)
Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse (SNES)
    Aladdin (Genesis/SNES)
    Lion King (Genesis/SNES)
    Jungle Book (Genesis/SNES)

Wasn't there a Fantasia game for the Genesis as well? Also, Donald Duck's Quackshot is a great game (both for the Genesis)

Hey! I forgot Mickey Mania!!! Get the Sega CD version if at all possible.

@scooter: Yeah, there was a Fantasia game, but it was pretty crappy (the polar opposite of the Fantasia movie ^_^)

Mickey Mania is also very good on the Genesis. It's not bad on the SNES, but I prefer the Genny port.

Hey, you guys forgot Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers (NES) and Darkwing Duck (NES)! I Love them both.

Capcom only did the NES games, all the ones I have are pretty fun. Sega did most of the Genesis games. Mickey Mania for Sega CD is a pretty fun game (didn't I hook you up with that Yashiro?)

@Capt. Wrong: Indeed you did. The sprites they can cram into a Sega CD game....wow.

Yeah, I was really impressed with the graphics. Never had the cart to compair to, but the CD version is really nice. I believe that some Disney animators worked on that one, which would probably explain thw quality.

Default how could you leave out...

    ...GOOF TROOP (snes)!!!
which, by the way is a cool adventure game by capcom- the director was shinji mikami, who later went on to do a little game called resident evil...

and there were a couple of game boy disney games as well..

oh, by the way, a 6 or 7/10 isn't "mediocre". those are scores that "average" to "good" games get. 4-5/10 is "bad/mediocre", if you live and breathe by the gamespot rating system

Oops! I stand corrected. I thought Capcom lost the Disney licnese after the NES games. I might have to check Goof Troop out b/c I really like the games Capcom did on NES.

As far as I know, Capcom still has a license to make Disney games. Magical Tetris Challenge (N64) and the recent Magical Quest rerelease (GBA) are both Capcom.

    Let's see...
Sega made a bunch of Disney games...
Hi-Tech Expressions made Mickey's Ultimate Challenge....
Virgin made Aladdin (which was oddly enough licensed to Capcom for SNES), The Jungle Book, Lion King and maybe Pinnochio....
Absolute made Goofy's Hysterical History Tour...
Kemco made the Donald Duck Famicom game (which became Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular in the U.S.)...
    Sony Imagesoft made Mickey Mania...
Capcom made quite a few Disney NES games...
Some company I can't remember the name of made Darkwing Duck and Talespin for the TG16....

That is a LOT of Disney licensees. Who made the new Gamecube Mickey Mouse game?

SHINJI MIKAMI MADE THE GOOF TROOP GAME? Rock.

Quackshot is still one of my faves. Mickey's House of Illusion was good too, I remember Aladdan and Lion King getting good reviews, didn't Shiney make them?

Didn't Capcom also make the TG16 port of Darkwing Duck? I know they did the NES game.

Basically, you can't go wrong with Capcom's Disney games.
