    Default April 2012 Finds

    It's that time again.

    Today I picked up:

    - Sega Genesis w/ Sonic 2 & two controllers - $5
    - Lot of PC games - $10 (Duke Nukem 3D, Call of Duty, several others)
    - Silver PS2 w/ DVD Remote & Official Carrying Case - $25
    - Soul Calibur II - Came with the PS2.
    - Humminbird LCR Fish Finder thingy - $10
    - Emerson DWD2202 (Dual DVD & VHS with S-Video) - $5
    - JVC car CD/MP3 player - $5
    - Warcraft II Boxed - $2
    - SNES Super Scope Dongle - $1
    - Dreamcast AV cable - $1
    - Two DVD/CDRW drives and a 40gb hard drive - $3

I bought one or two other things as well, can't remember as they're still in the car. Nothing that great though; today was a bust beyond making $130 selling some old crap.

    Microsoft Office: Access 2003 $5
Create Resumes Quick And Easy free
Silk & Steel vhs movie $1
    Castlevania: Double Pack(GBA) $5
    Megaman ZX(Ds) $5
Blockbusters Cheat Code Super Book $1.50

I took a chance and picked up the Access software at a flea market. The Create Resumes software was inside so I'm going to keep that for myself. The Castlevania and Megaman games were a craigs list find but sadly Castlevania had the wrong cart inside. The book and movie were Goodwill finds.

    Kinect TV Mount $4
    Dance Masters(Kinect) $9.98
    Super Street Fighter IV(360) $9.98
    Mod Racer Nation(PS3) $9.98
    Tomb Raider pewter figure $2
Mario old keychain games $4 each

The games and Kinect tv mount were all clearance finds. There were more mounts and I might go back to pick them up to sell since they are so cheap. I'm not sure why I picked up SSF since I'm not a fan of that series anymore but maybe I'll give this one a chance. The Tomb Raider and Mario items are from Goodwill. I don't think either are worth anything but they were certainly unique finds compared to what I normally locate.

Picked up this nice little lot this weekend for a mere $2.00...

What's awesome is that upon cleaning and booting up the Super Bomberman cart, I discovered that the chipboard inside was actually for Super Bomberman 2! Kind of an April Fools' joke years in the making!

Today I picked up The Terminator for the Sega CD for $3.99 (in a badly cracked case). Yesterday I hit the GameXchange down in Burleson (sorry to encroach on your territory, jeffg) and bought a boxed but instructionless Japanese Mega Drive version of Outrun for $1.95, Vectorman 2 (loose) for $3.95, Micro Machines (boxed but no instructions) for $3.95, and BC Racers for the 32X (loose) for free since they eternally have a buy-three-get-one-free sale going on.

Just as a heads up for members in the south west florida region. I am on vacation in naples. And my cousin took me to this massive flea market in fort myers. And there was a vendor there selling vintage games had quite the collection too!

I received L.A. Noire (360) in the mail this past weekend (technically a March "find" I guess). Grand total, including shipping, $2.83.

Where is the flea market? I've long since moved, but visit the area every so often and would be interested in checking this out next time I'm in town.

He gave me these guides to sell..he paid $1.00 each.
Also some Hanna Barbara animation hand painted Cells

SNES game has a cracked rear side.$1.00

In my travels I found this table in the trash...

I didn't get a chance to post a few late March finds, so I'll just put them here.

Halo: Combat Evolved GOTY is brand new sealed and I found this on Craigslist for $10. The next three games are Conker Live & Reloaded for $15, Still Life & Indigo Prophecy for $3 apiece. Got these at Half-Price Books. Almost never find good deals there, but when I do they are usually really good ones. In this case, I got Conker for around half the normal asking price (or less). Finally, stopped in at my local Goodwill just as one of the cashiers was removing discs from some games to put them out on the shelf. Spotted Tales of Symphonia for $6 and snagged it quick.

Now for my April finds: Everything in the first pic came out of another local Goodwill. Noticed a few bins sitting behind the "collectibles" counter and asked to take a peek. Nabbed everything in that pic except for the PS1 & DC games and the guide book. Silent Hill 4 for the PC was $6. Thought it was odd that Goodwill had a porno for sale, so I snatched (*cough*nopunintended*cough*) up that Jenna Jameson DVD just for larfs (sure sure), but turns out it's pretty much a softcore Skinemax type thing. Still, there's no story, just stripping. Weird find at a Goodwill any way you look at it.

Yup, I snagged Ehrgeiz for only $2! These games were mixed in with the CDs. I usually don't have time/patience to go looking through the CDs, but I noticed a couple right away so I spent the time looking and it seems to have paid off.

The PSP is a Japanese one, original version actually. I found it on CL. Emailed the guy and he said if I couldn't meet up that night, we could plan to meet in a week b/c he was going out of town. I said sure since I couldn't meet them that day. He emailed me when he got back and we figured out a time and place to meet up. All that for only $70. The memory stick alone is worth a good $30~40.

Clearance Target games to flip. Child of Eden $12, Skate 3 $14, Sims 3 pets $10 each.

There were 4 gamecubes at Goodwill, each a different price, right next to each other. I bought the cheapest one that had the Digital Out port at $5.99. The "grape" gbc was $4.99.

    Spectal Force Genesis $7
    R-Type Command $4
    Phantasy Star III $6
    Athena $2

DS Pokemon HeartGold Version-$15 at a pawn shop.
Jet Grind Radio music sampler-$2 at a thrift.

Genesis Scooby Doo Mystery (complete), NES Gargoyle's Quest II and Baby Boomer-$4.50 each at a thrift.

Zelda OOT Prima strategy guide with exclusive EB Games cover-$1.99 at a thrift.

Microsoft Developer Network Subscription binder from 1999. A few of the Office Test Platform & Development Tools and Development Platform discs are missing, but there's still around 50 discs worth. $2.99 at the same thrift where I found the Zelda OOT guide.

Was in Green Bay last weekend and went to their big Goodwill because it was next to Toys R Us, and I was there looking for the $10 clearance Wii Goldeneye/controller bundle (no luck). Anyway, I paid more than I'd like for these big box PC games, but guess I was in a spending mood.

Pirates is missing Disk 1 and Rocketeer is missing the manual. The others are sealed shut with packing tape and I haven't hair dryered them open yet.

And today I picked up TMNT for a couple bucks at Unique. It was my only find from 3 stored today. Savers had a $25 or $30 Marvel v Capcom 2 DC and some other good games in the case that I didn't even bother to have them pull out so I could see the price. Not sure why I go there anymore.

Well last month didn't play out so well with a series of problems that prevented me from any real hunting or doing anything, so this month started off really well to compensate?

Traded my 8gb 4th gen ipod touch and 20 bucks for all this. Not pictured a 32gb sd card (it's in the ds) and zelda phantom hourglass. I'm very happy with this deal.

Picked this up today at the pawn shop with 2 controllers (though the other controller is a black US one not a white one, darn) and the cables, for 20 bucks. WOOHOO!

I found a Wii Classic Controller for $2.99 at Value Village. It works great, but I need to clean it a bit. There's dirt stuck under the rubber cover.

    Decent day at the thrift:

    Brunswick Bowling (sealed) - $7.87
    Zelda (no manual) - $5.48
    Xbox adapter - $1.56

Had no idea what the power/AV cords looked like since I have never seen one of these in person. One of the few times I wished they didn't break everything up.
    Turbografx 16 w/ controller - $17.31

    Nintendo LaserScope - $5.50

Yeah I decided to look at the sticker on the side and was able to figure it out. Not worth much though, so I'll just have to give Craigslist a shot. It makes for a pretty cool X-Wing pilot helmet though.

How much do you want for it? It's one of the few things I don't have in my NES collection.

I went shopping a while ago and didn't find anything gaming related quite sadly However, I did find this portable magical orb though:

It only cost $2 and it's lots of fun
