Default Phoenix: The Fall & Rise of Videogames - 4th edition

It is nearly official. Yesterday I received a contract from a 'real' publishing company to publish the 4th edition of Phoenix. If all goes according to schedule, the 4th edition will be published (not self-published) in late 2013. More details to follow when everything is finalized.

I probably missed this info in a different thread but what's new about the 4th edition?

Hopefully I'm not stepping out of line here, but Leonard showed me a couple chapters from Phoenix 4, and I can tell you that you're going to need to replace 3 with this one. The nature of writing a history book is that we discover a lot more as the years go on, and 4 is a much more complete history of the North American video game market than 3 was. It also expands WAY more into international territories, and discusses things that aren't even mentioned in the old editions.

Old news, for me, anyway. I expect mine to be autographed, at least.

    Congrats Len!

    I'll be sure to upgrade!

Will there be a digital version on Amazon/iTunes?

I haven't read the old versions so I'm stoked for this one. Keep us updated!

Count me in!! I will definitely be buying this new version too, and already have the previous 3 editions in my book collection.
