Default FS: Boxed PC-FX system + games lot

First off, before anyone gets confused my username, this is located in the US, and I'm only looking to ship within the US.

I've been sitting on a spare PC-FX and a couple duplicate games for awhile now, so I figure it's about time I find them a new home, hopefully with someone who will love this quirky system as much as I do.

The system is tested and works fine, of course, and it looks just about perfect. It comes with the controller and all of the original hook-ups. The output jacks for the PC-FX are generic actually, so if you don't want to use the A/V cable it comes with, you can use any composite cable or, better yet, a generic S-video cable. The controller has a tiny bit of yellowing on the right edge and the plug, but other than that it basically looks new. The box has some fading on a couple sides, a little bit of tearing, and some Japanese stickers. Maybe you can get the stickers off without any damage, I don't know. You can try if you're braver than I am, heh. Inside of the box, there are the two pieces of styrofoam that hold the system in place, but that's it, as the booklet is missing.

The oversized box game is Battle Heat, a super stylish FMV fighter that epitomizes everything that was awesome about '90s anime, and the quality of its FMV is easily among the best of its generation, truly a technical marvel. Really fun game too, once you learn how it works. The jewel case game is Fire Woman Matoi-gumi, which is a bit hard to describe. It's like a dating sim, RPG, and adventure game all rolled into one, and it gives me a little bit of a Kunio-kun vibe, with all the beating up of Japanese high school punks. This one is really cool too. Both games have some slight cosmetic flaws, but overall they look great. They're complete, but Fire Woman Matoi-gumi doesn't have the obi/spine card, if that matters to you.

Since this system is so obscure, I figured it would be helpful to give a little extra info on what the games are like. A great source for additional info, though, where you can also read reviews on these games if you want, is PC-FX World:

Another thing worth pointing out is that the PC-FX can play burned discs. I'm not providing any, of course, but this is great if, say, you buy a game in Japanese (obviously, since the system is Japan-exclusive) but want to play it in English. You can burned a patched game and play it on the real hardware. You can already do so with Welcome to Pia Carrot, and the group that did that game have even more PC-FX translations in the pipeline:

Anyway, let's get to the photos.

Here's a front shot of everything:

Here's a top view where you can see the tears and the stickers:

Here's a back view where you can see the fading:

And here's a closeup of the games:

Okay, that's about everything I can think of, but if anyone has any questions or requests for additional photos, don't hesitate to ask. If you're interested in buying, shoot me a PM with an offer. Thanks!
