Lightbulb Jet Set Radio HD has '99.9 percent' of the original soundtrack [Joystiq]

Sega promised more news about the soundtrack for Jet Set Radio HD, and we don't know how the news could get any better. The game now contains all of the Japanese, US, and European soundtracks. Well, almost all. "99.9 percent" in Sega's unofficial estimation.

Two of the 30 original tracks are still missing - Deavid Soul's "Yappie Feet" and O.B. One's "Many Styles" remain absent. But that great Jurassic 5 track remains. And that great - you know what, every track is great. Yes, even "Dragula." We're in a really good mood right now.Jet Set Radio HD has '99.9 percent' of the original soundtrack originally appeared on Joystiq on Fri, 01 Jun 2012 14:40:00 EST. Cool.

Nowhere near the tragedy that was Crazy Taxi!

And I'll take that >1% missing songs for the upscaled graphics and right analog camera controls!

I played this at PAX East and it played GREAT!

Not to be a jerk about this, but 2 out of 30 is almost 7%. Yes, it's not massive, but it's also not 99.9% of the original. Still, I will probably check it out as I never really cared for the two tracks that are missing.

93.3% of all Jet Set Radio tracks across all regions. This means that we are actually getting *more* music in this release of JSR/JGR than with the original N.A. or Japanese release as this new soundtrack includes tracks from the European and Japanese releases, tracks which weren't in the American release.

I wonder what makes "Yappie Feet" different from the other Deavid Soul tracks in terms of getting it licensed.

Has the frame rate been bumped to 60? I respect JGR, but enjoyed Jet Set Radio Future on Xbox a million times more.

Maybe there was a different label involved with that track that made things difficult with licensing?

    Either way, I'm pretty excited.

I felt the opposite. I couldn't get past the first stage of 'Future because of this stupid thing that my skates would do at random. They would to this weird thing where they'd discharge energy and roll forward slowly while I was dragged along for about 3 seconds at a time. I never understood what made them do that, but it ruined the game for me. That, and the fact that you didn't trace lines do make your graffiti anymore. I'll eventually figure the game out and retry it.

I'm with Megas; I think JGR was/is far superior to JSRF, regardless of framerate.
