Default Nintendo Power "Get With It" Kit New Factory Sealed

Found this at a garage sale recently. Cannot find any current or previous eBay sales prices. Only thing I can find is a image (via Google Image search) on a web site that indicates it is one of the "harder to find" video game items. Anyone know what it would be worth?

I wonder if they'd still accept the one year free NP sub ? haha

I was actually wondering what issue of Nintendo Power is inside. If it is issue one, in mint condition, that could be worth something. I think they sell for somewhere round 50+ on eBay

Since when was 1 year of Nintendo Power worth $42?
Last I knew the sub rate was $20 for a single year. :P
(yes, I know they're probably going with 12 x the original cover price of $3.50)

The wording on this is really wonky. Does it come with issues or no? Is it just the binder, markers, and game directory, and then the magazines would come in the mail? Or am I interpreting this all wrong? I mean, the word "subscription" would suggest that you'd be subscribed to the magazine and getting them delivered to you, rather than just buying a set of magazines.

They say that the subscription is a $21 value, so I guess the other half of the value is the binder and stuff. If it's a 1-year, 6-issue subscription, then it's definitely an early item. I believe Nintendo Power only ran for about a couple years before they switched to monthly (well, first alternating with the strategy guides). I get the impression that the magazine was already established when this product was created, so if it would be by mail, I'd assume the purchaser wouldn't get issue #1. If it had issues packaged inside, then maybe it might have the first 6 issues.

Interesting bit of Nintendo Power history either way.

Nintendo Power was bi-monthly from issue 1-11 (July 1988-March 1990), monthly with strategy guide issue 12-19 (May 1990-December 1990), monthly since issue 20 (January 1991).

The back of the binder explains better. It is a "preview" issue and markers and a guide that shows game paks. Also inside is a reply card to mail in to start you 1 year (six issues) subscription to NP. Does anyone have an idea on price? I think I'm going to put it on eBay, starting low and see where it ends up.

Default Moving to Buying and Selling

OK, so I have the "Get With It" Kit listed. I don't know what it is really worth, so I started it pretty low. Also I have managed to list my Issue 1 and Issue 2 of Nintendo Power. I figure that the three like items will draw attention to each other.

Here is the info to help find the listings on eBay:

    Seller Name: all_about_rich
    Item number:
    Get With it Kit: 251087943573

    Nintendo Power Issue 1: 261047885549

    Nintendo Power Issue 2: 261047885666

Let me know if any further information makes these items easier to locate on eBay

Only a few days left on this and I have started the bidding at only 9.99, an awesome deal!

Interesting find, good luck! (Although it looks like the auction is doing just fine, actually)

Damn, that went up fast. It's been 9.99 forever. Never underestimate sealed Nintendo stuff on eBay.

I love that thing. I bought mine new, but I don't remember where or when (sometime in the 90s). I'm selling off a ton of NES games, but this is staying put. Congrats on the price!
