It's not in the book because our first stab at dedicated consoles was strictly "pong-type" units.
I'd say a boxed one that works is worth about $15-$20 depending on the condition. Surprisingly I find them with the boxes as often as I find them loose. To me it's worth more to keep than to sell, it's actually quite fun!
Great stuff! I saw one in a video game lot on ebay, and I didnt want to bid, until I knew what I was getting... Is it just a clone of the atari 2600 video pinball??

I LOVE 'Video Pinball'! Sooooo many hours played with that.
speaking of the Atari Video Pinball, what exactly are you supposed to do on the games that the ball drops from the top? it seems like you're supposed to keep bouncing the ball on your paddle to get it to hit one of the bricks at the top. I've only been able to bounce it half way back up. am I missing something obvious?
I'm not talking about the Breakout game either, it's the ones that only have 3 or 4 bricks in one of the top corners.
I think I bid on that auction. Sylentwulf outbid me though. And then someone sniped him.Originally Posted by grandamchandler
Which game number? I can try it, but I honestly don't remember. I have the manual around SOMEWHERE...
I did a Google rearch and found a few sites that made mention of this console. 2 said one of the games was basketball. I'll have to try it again, I don't recall anything that seemed like basketball.
I think it was the 5th game. If I remember correctly the first 4 were pinball, two using the paddle, two using the flippers. the the game I'm not sure how to play, then Breakout.
I'd say $15-&20.00
I bought a boxed Atari Video Pinball off Ebay for $15.00 awhile back...I haven't played it much though..
This topic gives me the incentive to do so.
Glad to be here to inspire people to Game!Originally Posted by Videogamerdaryll

Well, here itīs impossible to find, so...if you want to sell one in Argentina, maybe you can bid a lot of money
I think you're talking about basketball. It's the game where you are bouncing a ball on the paddle and there's three lines at the top, right?
It works like this, you keep bouncing the ball until you are ready to shoot and then you press the long button and you'll "shoot" the ball. I can't remember what the label is on the button, and I'm basing my memory on the Sears version. That's how it works though.
Captain Wrong has it right with the gameplay description. If I could get mine down from behind all the clutter, I could be more help, but I'll add what I remember.
The long button is your "Ball Serve" button. The game is called - at least on my woodgrain version - something that's not "Basketball". If I recall correctly, it's something like "Rebound" or... ah, I don't remember. The most effective way of playing is to bounce the ball off the ceiling when you shoot it. That ought to send it right through all three bars. Scoring (again going by memory only) is 1 point for dropping through the bottom bar, 2 for the middle, and 3 for the top. Also, you can only score by sending the ball down through the bars. If you hit their bottoms, then the ball will just bounce down. I hated that game for years as a kid (Video Pinball was the only console I had), but once you get the hang of it, you might play it more than the other variations on there. Or not...
