    Default N64 Controller Won't Register

I have an N64 controller that won't register when a game is played. Is there a quick and easy fix or is this going to be a soldering/electronics job?

I had that happen the other day and fixed it by pushing the cable slightly into the controller. Probably a broken wire or broken solder joint for me though and it was a short term fix.

    Could potentially be something dirty.
I fix things. You name it, I'll work on it. Want something modded? Recapped?

You Need To Go And Get A Special N64 Screwdriver And Open It Up And Clean Out The Controller Ports And Fix The Board Up A Little And Then It Might Just Work For Ya

The console works fine, it is the controller that won't register.

Yeah Just Get A Q-Tip And Rubbing Alcohol To Clean Out The Cantacts In The Controller Port And That Should Work
If Not Use A Different Controller
    And Is It Third Party?
    Hope I Helped
