Default LUNAR: How Many Re-Releases Is This Now? Story to be Released on iPhone Soon

LUNAR: Silver Star Story Touch is going to release on iPhone later this week. You guessed it, another re-release of the first LUNAR game. It's a great game that launched a great series, but seriously GameArts, give us a new story.

The iOS release of the game will have a Western release as evidenced by the English version of the mobile game's Web site. More info can be found at [ http://www.siliconera.com/2012/09/19...one-this-week/ ].

All I want is Working Designs to come back from the dead and make Lunar 3. Is that really so much to ask?

Considering Working Designs was a localization company and not a developer, yeah, that is too much to ask. :P

They actually announced this port last year but then it just disappeared....and reappeared a few weeks ago with a release date of this week! I, too, am tired of all the Lunar SSS ports (this is still just a port of the PSOne/Saturn remake) as I have always enjoyed the original TSS much more (the music, a world map, etc.). That being said, I will probably still try it since I am a Lunar whore lol

. While I still love and prefer the original EB, I'd still love to see a new port of EB and maybe for once NOT be on a portable system!

Update: Game has been officially released! Just to clarify, the game is the PSX/Saturn version with audio from the PSP remake...

Forgive me for the uninformed nature of this question, but why would the dev. include audio from the PSP release instead of the PSX release?

For some reason I can't picture playing SSS on an iPhone, but I'm sure it's fine.

Can't we get it on 3DS?

While they weren't a full blown developer, so yes asking them to make a whole Lunar 3 on their own was kinda misinformed, they actually were more than just a localization company. They were always doing a lot more to games than just translating, always making a lot of tweaks behind the scene. Sometimes it was for the good (more save slots for the PSX Lunars than the Japanese versions had) sometimes it bit them on the ass (Exile 2 being f'd up to the point it's nearly impossible to beat).

I think that even with WD long gone, Victor Ireland still owns the rights to the PSX localized audio.
