    Default Little Big Planet Vita

I've yet to play the full version of Gravity Rush, although the demo was amazing, but I think it's safe to say that the new best Vita game has just been released.

Now first off, once again we're forced to deal with touch screen, touch panel, six axis, etc. All the functions that the Vita has available is once more shoved down our throat with another game, but unlike Uncharted Golden Abyss where some of the touch functions were nothing more than an annoyance, Little Big Planet succeeds in making these functionis work. However, there's also the fact that Little Big Planet's long lasting appeal is the level creation, allowing users to also add these functions into their own games. It's still forced on most menu options and level selection which is another disappointment.

I'm not much of a fan of going through the stages and using a mixture of touch screen and controller options, but on the stages they force you into doing so, it works. There are also a number of stages that exclusively use these functions. One stage, which is under the arcade so its entirely own game, is called Tapling. It's a 2D game with a dark tone to it, and you control this black ball that is shaped kind of like the Porings from Ragnarok Online, you touch on the screen, and the tapling attempts to jump to that location, although he can only jump a certain distance so if you want to jump further you can aim higher. There are eight stages that you go through to make your way through the game, rescuing white taplings that are trapped and a pink tapling, with the last stage you being chased by a large monster. Very fun and addicting. Just giving an idea of what else you can expect from the game.

Just like the PS3 LBP2, you're required to complete atleast the first world before you can do any community content. Once completed you can go to community levels your planet, or your moon. When on LBP Vita, one major difference to the community levels is that instead of just being able to queue or favorite them to play at another time, you're now also able to download any level to now play at anytime. So any of your favorite levels will always be playable. The only bad thing about this is that the Vita version doesn't allow you to play any of the levels on the PS3 versions, so instead of seven million, you probably have about five thousand, most of those being easy trophy stages. But like LBP1 and 2 before it, once the game is released for awhile, the LBP community will continue to keep the game afloat with new levels and instead of just being levels on getting easy trophies, you'll actually come across many good levels.

If you're looking for a good platformer with endless replay value based on some very good community developed games, I'd recommend picking up LBP Vita. If you pick it up at a later date, you're getting an even better deal with all the levels will have been created by the time you get to it.
