Default NES Advantage Bottom Pad Adhesive Preferences?

I've been holding off deconstructing and cleaning my NES Advantages for a couple of years. Why? It isn't from lack of knowing how to take them apart. Even if I didn't already know how to work on joysticks, there are at least 20 tutorials online detailing how to unscrew some screws, undo a couple washers and unscrew a joystick ball top.

What no one covers...and I kept hoping someone would, was re-applying the feet on the bottom. Is there anyone who has done a bunch of these that has a preferred glue type for reapplying those bottom rubber circles? Or is everyone playing with pad-less NES Advantages like a bunch of philistines?

Why not use double sided tape. It should hold them in place and is much more forgiving than glue should you need to remove them again.

Go to the hardware store and buy some new adhesive feet. That's what I did with my Sega Genesis joystick.

Maybe rubber cement? Nice and sticky, yet easy to remove if you ever have to again.
