I wasn't planning on beating Densha de Go! 64, but this isn't the first time I've toyed around with a new N64 import purchase and ended up beating it. :P I was just trying to figure it out the last few days, but I guess I finally got good enough to earn the credits scroll. I haven't done every single line, but seeing the credits is enough for me to count a game as beaten (assuming the credits aren't available right from the menu, haha).

    3. Pia Carrot e Youkoso!! (PC-FX) 2/13

I just started Welcome to Pia Carrot (as the title translates to) last night, and I already have it beaten. Not that it really counts for much, since I got the default ending because none of the girls liked me enough (not even the one I focused on). There's nothing in the game that would prevent the player from getting to the final day, so there's no real accomplishment to seeing the default ending. But it's no problem because it's a very short game that's designed to be replayed many times over, which is exactly what I intend to do.

Eh. I tend to not be much for Diablo style gameplay, but this was standable. I can see why it was being given away, though, I can't imagine there were many people clamoring or another Lara Croft game that badly, particularly one like this. I did find it funny that all the "if you have problems with photosensitivity" warnings that are normally at the start of the game or in the manual were actually at the tail end of the credits.

I finished Bucky Ohare for the NES a couple weeks ago it only took about 600 credits. Working on Little Samson now. Playing them on NES hardware through a Power Pak.

    1. Spartan Ops Season 1 in Halo 4

Yes it's been that slow of a year for me with beating games. But I just finished this one tonight and season 2 will likely not release until sometime next Fall. I'm still working on Max Payne 3 and that shoud be beaten before the end of next week.

    2. Wordament beta(Xbox.com)

Yes it was a beta but I finally got all of the achievements, the last one for scoring higher than atleast 50% of the other 900-2000 people that played during that round. The game is very addictive and I will be playing some more later tonight.

I remember playing the original beta that was uploaded to Newgrounds some few years ago. Didn't think much of the game then, but it's really come a long way. Much improved gameplay, amazing music and an...interesting story, although fairly predictable.

I recall reading that people didn't like this game or something. Honestly, I thought it was great. Sure, the whole dodging crap on a linear track thing got old pretty quickly, but everything else was great. It struck that nice balance between charming gameplay and collective novelty that works perfectly for me.

The ones I can remember off the top of my head:
    1. Demon's Souls (re-beaten if that counts, as I've beaten it plenty of times before)
    2. Castlevania (both normal and hard-mode) many times
    3. Castlevania III, about 5 times so far (one of them being the japanese Akumajo Densetsu version) - still need to do a full playthrough with Grant

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge (WiiU, JAN)
    Actraiser 2 (SNES, FEB)

Actraiser 2, finally played it after many years of wanting to. Hard as heck compared to the original. Wished it still had the city developing elements of the first game. Still, I had fun with it.

    3. Kingdom Hearts (PS2)
Really fun game, enjoyed it just as much as I did when it was first released! And now I guess I can finally move onto the other games in the series ...

    4. Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller - Episode 1 (PC)
From the people who made The Silver Lining, and with a little story help from Jane Jensen herself, comes a supernatural crime thriller about an FBI agent trying to stop a serial murderer that seems to always be one step ahead. Really fun game, and sometimes very intense. Definitely one of the better adventure games I've played in a long time.

    5. Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller - Episode 2 (PC)
The story in this game was quite a surprise! Picking up where Episode 1 left off, the game certainly takes a turn for the grotesque! And you really feel the pressure in this one! I can't wait for the next episodes! (Actually, I did get to play test Episode 3, and I loved it! Didn't finish it though, and it was far, far from done, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what'll happen!)

I remember not being very impressed with the demo when the game was new. Not sure why. The game has a very slight learning curve, but it's otherwise easy to pick up and play. Really nice OST, although the voice acting is a tad meh.

    9. Serious Sam 3 (pc) 3/2

    Serious Sam
Whats more to say about this then how serious it is!

The game is based on the idea of the old FPS we loved in the 90s such as Doom 1 and 2, Quake 1 and 2, Duke Nukem 3d and so on and so forth.
Crazy weapons, Crazy Enemies, sometimes showing stupidly big enemies that make you go "w..t...f?".
And they show them in large quantities sometimes.

Well serious sam wanted to take all those wonderful things and amplify it 10 fold (sometimes 100 fold but ya know this shits serious buisness kid)

The game pitches you as Sam Serious Stone a agent working for the military as a jack of all trades and master of ass kicking kinda character.
War has broken out on earth between the aliens and the people of earth. You and you alone must put an end to this.. Will you make it out alive? Or will the aliens make earth a victim of their war path intentions?

    THE GOOD
    --------------
The game runs stupidly smooth which I absolutely love. Only slow down I noticed was a fight when there was like 300 enemies coming at me at once!

Non stop action! Seriously! You rarely get breaks inbetween fights.

More enemies then you can shake ummm a ummm Cannon at... Yeah... Take the last level for instance has over 1700 enemies in it on normal setting. DAMN

Some killer sound tracks (my favorite is when you find a boss..
    )

    THE BAD
    -----------
The Graphics although they are good they are a little out dated considering other games that came out around the same time. But at the same time I think its justified by the fact of how well it runs so smoothly. You don't feel like you have to have the super uber crazy gaming pc to be able to run this game. I on the other hand don't care either way but I know the graphic nazi's will be all over this.

More Enemies then you can shake a stick at. While this is a blessing in terms of keeping non stop action. It also is a burden because sometimes it makes you think "WHEN WILL THIS ONSLAUGHT END?!?!?" The last level definitely will make you think that trust me specially when you get deep in the level.

Confusing boss battles. Although I won't give away the last boss battle. I will say it was confusing on what to do atleast for me. Maybe I missed something I don't know. But I didn't realize I had to find a certain type of weapon and enhancer to aid me. Whatever I guess.

    6. Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon (PC)
Time to help George and Nico save the world once more! In my opinion, this was a rather good game. The crate pushing puzzles and semi platforming elements seemed for the most part like things they added to artifically make the game longer, but otherwise the game was great! And in my opinion, the story was better than that in the second game, as well. Really enjoyed this - aside from the crate pushing. :P

    7. Shadow of Memories (PS2)
Originally known as "Shadow of Destiny," Shadow of Memories is the European release of this game, in which the protagonist, Eike, travels through time to stop himself from being killed - something that is easier said than done when you don't know your murderer. Despite some minor flaws(some of the voice acting, awkward collision detection), the game is a lot of fun! It also has got some side quests and optional events, five very different endings, plus an Extra gameplay mode, which makes for quite a bit of replayability - I didn't stop until I had done all of the endings, including the Extra. I'd very much recommend this game to people who enjoy classic, story driven adventure games, and time travel based stories.
