Not sure how long it will last.
This product is not worth the original $50 price tag, but it is completely worth $10!

edit: Note that it wont fit an iphone 5 without leaving the flip top open.

Hopefully they're clearancing it so they can sell one that does work with the iPhone 5 / iPod Touch 5.

Just for clarity, I understand that it works just fine with the iphone 5 and android devices, but the 5 just needs the top flap to stay open.
I assume there's a way to mod if if you wanted to
Yes, the 5 is 1/4 inch taller than the 4. I have an HTC Droid and I don't think it will even fit in the iCade Jr. or I would buy it.

I just saw this post by someone at touch arcade:

Thanks for pointing this out, I have an iPhone 4S and I picked one up. It should fit my phone perfectly.

I notice this is back up to $20 now - still way cheaper than the $50 launch price.

That's a video showing someone that modded it for the iphone 5
Ok I got mine today, and I'm highly disappointed that it doesn't work with the Atari Greatest hits app... Which is the app I wanted to use it for. I was under the impression that it worked with all the games that work with the regular iCade....... Though it does work with the Activision collection.

And about the actual build quality, it's quite nice it feels like a high quality piece of technology. The mini joystick also screws off and it becomes a dpad if the joystick is too small for your liking. It's got 4 face buttons and four buttons on the back. Though the stick isn't as sensitive as I would want it to be but I'm guessing this is more an issue with the settings in the app than it is the icades problem.

If anybody is picking one of these up to use with iMAME:
Know that IN iMAME (it's not a problem for any software designed natively for the iCade Jr.) - the ONLY two buttons on the face panel that will work in conjunction with the joystick (register as simultaneous button presses) are the two on the right.
[from a previous post I had made in the Vectrex thread]
After giving it a few days and poking around on the web I determined that the iCade Jr. Buttons that show up as "joystick button 1 joystick button 2 joystick button 3 joystick button 4" etc. in the in-MAME button assignment menu (ie the two RIGHT-MOST buttons on the control panel) DO in fact allow for motion in all directions with a simultaneous button press.
So, the maximum number of buttons that you're going to get away with on the front panel of the iCade Jr. is TWO if you need simultaneous character movement with the buttons.
Not a total bust after all, and most of the games I want to play on this thing only have 1 or 2 buttons anyway.
If you have one of these just assign Button 1 and Button 2 in MAME to the top right and bottom right button. You can assign coin/start to the left buttons or the buttons on the back.

Darn, I missed it. Now it's $24.99. Too high.
