What a bizarre mix of stuff to find on Craigslist all from one deal (I'm presuming).
This thread is worthless without prices... it isn't good "find porn" without some notion of how good the deal was!

Found this at a random thrift for $2, still sealed. It was quite the hello.
Nice. I've got a modchipped PS2 in case I find such weird stuff!
Speaking of the genre... I still own that PS2 sumo wrestling game. If mostly because nobody would buy it for any price worth my time.
Lum fan.
Picked up some super cheap, brand new stuff today, as a local shop had a clearance sale on some stuff.
- Logic3 Wireless Sensor Bar for Wii, $1.
- 2x Logic3 Battery Pack for Wii controllers, $1.75.
- Logic3 nettverksadapter til Wii, $1.75.
- Soul Calibur Legends for Wii, $5.
- Official TLoZ: Spirit Tracks Hori Compact Case for NDS, $3.25.
Made it to one thrift today:
$5.99 for the Icewind Dale set... more than I'd like to pay, but it seems complete and in nice shape, and would be more than that to ship, plus I only think I have the big box for the original game.
2.99 for the Spyro game (CIB, disc is decent)
4.99 for the Wavebird (no receiver to be found )
2.92, 2.92, & 3.93 for the audio stuff.
From today.
Fatal Frame III (PS2) disc and case only (need a manual) $2 @ a pawn
Bigfoot: Collision Course (Wii) cib new $3.49 @ a Thorntons gas station of all places.
I normally only post finds on Sega16 but felt like bragging today
I went up to Denver last night to see the Puella Magi Madoka Magica movie, and after dinner my wife and I had some time to look around some of the shops before the movies. We were in this one independent record store looking around when I saw they had video games. Nothing too badly priced, but nothing that looked great either. I was looking at the Genesis stuff and saw one thing and pulled it out for a closer look and it blew my mind!

A cardboard boxed copy of Sonic 2! I've only heard of a handful of these existing and never expected to pick up the variant just because of the rarity! But there it was! Oh, need to check the price first though...

That's right, only $3.99 so I grabbed it and took it to the counter for checkout. It was missing the manual but I don't really mind. Then I settled in for my 2, 2-hour movies quite pleased with my new purchase. I had time to open it up tonight, and had an extra Sonic 2 booklet so I threw it in the picture.

I had to put the "watermark" in though cause I remember the one cardboard box picture with a million watermarks!
The cartridge is actually really weird though, it looks like someone took a Sega Seal of Quality sticker, then probably stuck it over the NFR printing that was on the original label. You can easily tell that it is a sticker over the label, kind of weird that someone cared enough to put that on the cart. So, this makes me think that the cardboard box copies were left over pack ins that someone stuck a sticker on to make them 'legit' to sell to the public. I'm pretty sure this is the original cartridge that goes with the box, and I don't think I've seen a copy of Sonic 2 with a sticker like this before, so something new, yay!
One last shot, a picture of my receipt for a whopping $4.29 because I don't mind gloating over this random find in the middle of downtown Denver.

Needed a new fuse, 8 bucks. Works like a champ now.
$50ish. Gonna make a serious chunk o' repros with those sports titles
Then here's the same lot after some cover project love <3
Here's one you don't see every day:
The $3.93 scrawled on the front is in grease pen, so should come off just fine. Not sure what's up with the chess pieces, they were in there when I opened it up. And the console works great! Came with Casino, which is in the unit since I was just testing it.

Impressive, that would be the second one I've seem (I picked one up myself) mine also has the sticker on it. never did get a good answer on exactly where it came from, but it is an interesting find to say the least.
Yeah, so I went back and picked up that copy of Metal Warriors I left behind in Owensboro last week. Paid ~$60 for the cart.
Metal Warriors says hi.
Cleaned it up a bit, tested it - it works great and certainly isn't a bad game. It practically begs for a Virtual Console release. However, I forgot I have a Ni no Kuni preorder to pay for next week, so it went up for sale. Between the trip to Owensboro and back and the cost of the game, I broke even, and Metal Warriors heads to its new home on Tuesday.

So, while looking around online for a few SNES games to add to the collection, I came across a listing on amazon for Spanky's Quest.
99 cents plus 4.57 shipping total seemed like a pretty good deal...especially considering it was listed under the "Collectible" tab in pristine condition with the manual included and the cheapest normal-condition cart listed there was about nine bucks (the cheapest BIN on ebay was about $10).
I've played the game before, and while it's not a childhood game or anything, it's pretty fun and the soundtrack is GODLY.
Anyhoo, about a day later, it shipped out and the seller told me she accidentally priced it at 99 cents when she meant to price it at $19.99, but she was in such a good mood that she decided to let me have it for the $5.58 total she listed it for.
But seriously, I thanked her once I found out that's why it was so cheap and everything turned out hunky-dory. Even amazon can have good deals every now and then

Found myself a rob sitting in the toy section of the local value village for $10. Surprised they didn't have a higher price on it as this location always seems to overprice anything video game related or vintage toy based. No accessories or battery cover but I have been looking for one as a decoration for the bookshelf for awhile
I'd been meaning to pick up Devilish for the game gear for a while since I loved the genesis one and found out it's actually a completely different sequel to the GG original (Save for some music). I've never been able to find a copy irl, so I decided to check online for it. While perusing listings here and there, I came across an amazon listing for it COMPLETE IN BOX for $4.
I BARELY ever see boxed game gear games (I've only seen two in the wild and one of them is the box-and-cart copy of ax battler I own) so this was something I knew I had to go for.
So yeah, game-wise, pretty good week for me.
