Isn't Bubsy generally avoided for both systems?

It certainly should be.

From what little I can tolerate playing, the game looks pretty much the same on either system. The music is a bit more annoying on the Genesis version, but pretty bad either way. And Bubsy's lame-ass quips do sound clearer on SNES.

So far in this thread, we've established that SNES had the better version of Bubsy, while Genesis had the better version of Mickey Mania. Which would you rather have?

I think the SNES version is the one I've got...and even if it's the worst version, it's still a good game!

The game might still be ok on the SNES but it's still a bad port. It's not just the music that's worse, it has loading times, is missing a level, has worse hit detection, worse graphics, etc.

It took me awhile to find a review I remembered describing the differences, I'm pretty sure the video was made by HappehLemons from this forum.

Aladdin on Genesis (although I've not played Capcom's SNES version).

Ive heard its better than the Genesis. I played it out of curiosity from a thread on here. Boy you guys influence me to play some shitty games. XD I refuse to play it again, let alone the Genesis version.



Play Fatal Fury Special on SNES though, its a lot better.

FFS is bit sluggish compared to FF2. It's not enough to ruin the game, but it is noticeable.

Don't see a way to get back to the map (yeah, I'm in the item collection phase) and don't see a way to save progress,

If I remember, one of the powerups on the menu screen is supposed to be a save item.

That's right. I tried restarting the game without selecting the save item, and it didn't save the progress I'd made as a test (picked up some time bombs, which only seem to be useful in one specific spot).

The odd thing is that the number of save items in inventory never went down. I ended up with five.

I save-state abused the final boss (not too much, though, which is kinda surprising) but pretty much every other boss can be defeated without any problem if you've got a character that has an invulnerability powerup (Jaguar and MageDude A-, I've already forgotten their real names).
