Sega Genesis Model 1 Question

I have several model 1 Sega Genesis consoles. One doesn't have the licensed screen, the others do have it. Is there any difference as to what they are worth? Does anyone know what the one without the license screen is worth compared to what the ones with the license screen is worth? Thanks in advance.

I doubt there's much difference. Most people aren't even aware what that screen is.

The one without the license screen is a non-TMSS genesis model 1. This is the first model released with altered beast at launch. To a genesis junkie, this model is usually cited as the most preferred as it's made with the best-quality components (often cited as having the best sound output as well) and doesn't lock out early unlicensed games like "Zany Golf" and "Onslaught". I'd hang onto it in the chance that you find someone interested in looking for this model, and use it yourself in the meantime. To a normal buyer, no, it won't fetch much more, but to someone looking for one it just may.

I agree with this advice assuming you are going to keep one, might as well be that one. If you are selling them all, I doubt you can ask more for it unless you get lucky. Also, it isn't quite as definite that it is one of the 'best hardware' versions. To be certain, you need to find a very detailed thread about this topic and it lists the different hardware based on serial number (or somesuch number). TMSS screen and 'HD graphics' aren't definite indicators for best hardware.
