What really bothered me about the guy I was fighting with is that he was soooo arrogant. He could take any situation and make it seem as though he were spotless and you were the one at fault. He'd make insinuations, then deny that he ever said anything about you. Technically, that's true... if you spinelessly imply things rather than come right out and make statements, it gives you a convenient loophole to squirm through when your statements are challenged. These "stealth insults", in my opinion, are actually worse than the real thing because the person responsible is manipulating both you and everyone around you, shitting all over you while acting innocent in front of your friends. I got sick of these mind games really quickly, and I'm amazed that none of the rest of my friends have given up on him because of it. They should, though. I can't count how many times he's criticized and made moral judgments about them... oddly, though, he never makes any personal assessments, probably because he wouldn't like what he saw if he looked into the depths of his own dark soul.
I'm not going to tell you the name of this guy, because he'd get all pissy and retalitory about it. But I'll be damned if I can't complain about him after all he's done to me.
